These things got me through the early (painful) weeks of nursing. I was given a set at the hospital, but seriously NEEDED them by 2 weeks. I wore them daily only removing them to nurse, and rotated between several sets so they could be washed/air dried. I was using them like a band-aid along with nipple cream to heal cracks and sores. (Remember, air time is important for sore nips as well!) Once opened, they can last a few weeks if you keep them hydrated. I was also using a nipple shield during this time, but by 6 or 7 weeks I was able to slowly phase out both, and found I no longer needed them. I continue to use the Lansinoh nipple cream a few times a day.
These gel pads saved my poor nipples when I was adjusting to pumping and breastfeeding. My baby came six weeks early and spent six weeks in the NICU, which meant LOTS of pumping (8-12x/day), often in addition to breastfeeding. As someone with naturally sensitive nips, the first several weeks were rough. These gel pads made it possible for me to wear clothes and hold my baby against my chest without constantly being uncomfortable. They really do soothe soreness (even more so when refrigerated), and they don’t leave any gross residue. The fabric backing also makes them easy to wear inside your bra or under a fitted top because the backs of the pads won’t stick to anything. I also like that they’re reusable for 72 hours and come with sturdy plastic trays to put them on when not in use. (Medela’s equivalent product is thinner, stickier, and only lasts 24 hours.)
These were a lifesaver for me. The first couple weeks of breastfeeding were super hard for me. Baby's latch was great, but my nipples were not used to all the friction. They started to crack and blister and nursing was incredibly painful. I would use the soothies in a bra in between feedings and they really helped me both heal and avoid painful friction on my clothing. After about 5 days my nipples were healed (in addition to using lanolin and also rubbing a little breast milk on the nipple). You can use each pair of gel pads up to 3 days. Highly recommend!
Beyond thankful for these. Literally the only thing that completely relieves the pain - HIGHLY recommend storing in the fridge for crazy amazing cooling! Have tried multiple products. These fit best and stick gently without falling off, are absorbent if needed for leaks, and last 72 hours to reuse over and over instead of 24 hours like others. Will always use these!!!!!
These saved my poor nipples from cracks and blisters that resulted from breastfeeding- especially in the early days when you are baby are still trying to figure out latching. Pop them in the fridge before use and it’s even more soothing for the nips.

To the new mom (or seasoned veteran) looking for some relief of sore nipples, look no further! These are literally incredible! I used these for the first few weeks of nursing my baby. I don't know how I would have coped without. For extra relief, I stuck these babies in the fridge and referred to them as my "boob-sicles". Buy them all. Trust me, you need these!
These help a lot in the beginning and are SIGNIFICANTLY better than medela. I kept them in the fridge. It is a big bummer that you need to clean your nipples prior to feeding when you wear these. Cleaning them irritates them when they are already so tender. I didn’t feed overnight so that’s when I used them.
These work, but they are not needed for long term, and they are expensive for the amount of use. Very comfortable.
These will save you your first few weeks breastfeeding. I don't care what any lactation consultant says...nursing does hurt at first, even if you are doing it right. BUT it gets so much better after the first 4- 6 weeks. Stick these guys in the fridge for extra relief.
Must have for breast feeding moms. Stick in the freezer for extra soothing relief!
