This product got so much hate in the reviews that I ended up buying a different whey protien powder just in case.
So, the product I purchased was the 250g bag. The bag itself is stuffed full, and would not reclose because of the protein stuck in the plastic recloser. So I put it in a container and moved on.
There was no weird smell. It smelled very lightly like powdered milk. The taste was a bit neutral to me.
As others have pointed out, there is no scoop. The serving size is listed as 30g, or about 2.5-5 tsp? I guess mileage may vary on people's teaspoons. If you are looking to hit specific macro numbers, you might want to get something that definitely comes with a scoop, or invest in a metric kitchen scale if you don't have one. I don't have one, so I did my best. I mixed about 2 tablespoons in with some peanut butter. It tasted just fine. Also, I did not get ill like some previous reviewers have described when they used this product.
My biggest complaint then is the product came with no clear way for me to measure a serving size. I'm going to guess most people have scales,
though, so overall the product is fine.
If you're someone who doesn't like flavored proteins or are just looking for an inexpensive clean protein, this is the way to go! A friend and I decided we wanted to up our protein intake to two to three shakes a day while lifting 5 days a week. However, that could get very expensive and would increase the amount of crap we were putting into our bodies. 3 shakes would mean a ton of more sugar and other additives. We found this and have it a try.
First thoughts: super easy to mix and no clumping! Also we've tried mixing it in juice, iced tea, milk with strawberry, chocolate syrup etc. all of them work great.
There is a slight milky taste however so just know that flavorless does not mean non-existent taste. But overall product gets A++. I've been using for over a month and am maintaining steady, lean gains.
I love this product, I'm on myy second bag. It has low sugar, high protein, has no visible flavor (quite palatable as is) but I can add flavoring if I so choose (e.g., orange juice, cocoa, vanilla). It makes me feel awesome in a healthy way and when I ran out for 2 days, I could visibly feel why - no protein drink that day! I've tried MANY others - this is the real deal. Also has amino acids very much need; no need to take pills. Love the low sugar, and the trace amount of soy lecithin is an emulsifier (keeps product from sticking together I think). MUCH less than soy-based protein powders, which are no good for anyone, let alone me (thyroid issues). I wanted to leave feedback for this product prior to being offered a free sample of another one Bulk Supplements' products, but that was just an added bonus. I selected the smallest size of Organic Whey Protein powder (which I don't even now see on Amazon). That product has a higher level of sugar (1 gram, no good for me) but NO SOY. It has a visibly sweet taste, actually quite good. And it's organic, which I liked, but I can't have high levels of sugar nor do I like sweet drinks. My health has improved daily after adding the Whey Protein Powder Isolate to my every day regimen, I've lost a bit of weight, my blood work is improved, and I have much more natural energy and far fewer cravings for "bad foods." As if that's not enough great reasons to buy it, when you buy these larger bags (they stay fresh if get the ziploc closed for sure), they last longer, you don't run out as quickly as the canisters of protein powder, and it's cheaper in the long run!!! Hint: save one of those empty canisters of other products, clean it out, then store your Bulk Supplement in it for daily use, then refill it when it gets empty. These equates to less daily struggles to ensure the bag is indeed closed. I shared this product info with my older brother who has been taking a different brand of protein powder for years, then that manufacturer changed it so that he can no longer tolerate the horrible taste --this is a COMMON complaints from many protein powder drinkers. THIS PRODUCT tastes great as is, but I add 1-2 ounces of orange juice, along with daily greens and psyllium husk, and it tastes even better. My brother just informed me that he switched to this Bulk Supplements product and LOVES the taste, as is, and also sometimes adds vanilla extract (his favorite flavor). Buy it; it's great tasting and great for your body and health.
Dissolves effortlessly. Only has the bitter bland "flavorless" flavor on its own. I mix my intake with almond milk, water, peanut butter powder and cacao goof add some flavor. I'm confident that the flavor would be non existent if I used more in My shakes but I like to keep it simple. My initial thoughts are it's a great product that will serve my needs! I will just have to see if it serves me well over a longer period as I've only been taking for a few weeks.
I got this one because I was hoping to get more protein per scoop and cut out all the filler nonsense. This one seems to contain a pretty solid amount of protein and also gives the breakdown of amino acid content, which is one of the main reasons I got it. I use one of the scoops from an empty protein container and actually just poured the bag into my old container as well. It is unflavored, so I mix this with a sweet (containing maltodextrin) powder designed for bulking up. I really just do that for the flavor, because bulking powders are not really worth it. So I blend those with some milk and also peanut powder and the taste is great. I can’t, however, attest to its tastelessness since I have not tried this in water. Overall, solid purchase. Recommended.

As a (usually) broke college student I have been trying to find the perfect protein powder that was both cost effective and proven results. I am nowhere close to a professional bodybuilder, just someone who enjoys working out about 5 days a week and likes being in shape. With that being said, after years of trying various protein powders I came upon this brand on Whey protein, and it had blown me away. Opposed to other powders, BulkSupplements protein powder actually mixes well into my drink or smoothie, and the best part is, I can't even taste it. Whether I make a protein smoothie, or mix it with milk, I've never tasted the powder. Taste aside, after a long workout this is my go-to; it always helps me recover and I rarely am sore the next day. Since buying my first bag of clean whey protein, I've upgraded to the larger bag and am already halfway through it.
If you are looking for an effective, tasteless, and "clean" protein, look no further. I would recommend this product to anyone.
I was looking for an unflavored protein to mix in with my pre-workout shake. I enjoy the flavor of my pre-workout, but wanted to add a little bit more substance as I workout first thing in the morning and tend to get hungry shortly after waking up. This stuff fit the bill perfectly. Mixes in pretty easily with a normal blender bottle and rarely clumps.
This is by for the most clean and pure protein I have come across. I was unsure so I only ordered 250 grams, boy do I wish I had ordered more. If you aren't looking to break your bank and over spend on protein this is the way to go. For those that don't know much about the different types of protein out there....Whey Isolate is one of the better routes. It is some of the most pure and digests the quickest (best for post workout). If you are looking for a protein that will fill you up for an extended period of time, don't go isolate. Instead aim for a blend/concentrate or casein. Personally I tend to get hungry at night so I will drink a casein shake slightly before bed so my body can continue to grow as I sleep or have it in the morning for breakfast. I received my Whey Isolate quickly and as advertised. It is very rare that you will find a 90% protein powder, heck it is rare to find anything over 80%. After all the flavors and fillers added to most big name supps. Once again if you aren't looking for that candy flavored protein, this is the route to go. Just straight whey taste, smooth silk iso texture, and if you need flavor add a little ice cream sauce :-)

Great stuff!!! My big brand protein source changed their formula, I know because mixing it most recently resulted in an expansion/foam mess.
I finished the tub of mystery chemicals (they hadn't stated a change in formula and I Dunno what they added) and have eliminated it from my shopping list. Bulk supplements protein is 27grams of Whey per serving, nothing else. it Mixes with green smoothie without foam expansion and I can feel the benefits of protein supplements again with it. I'll try their grass fed whey, that costs the same as my previous choice big brand' protein who I no longer trust. I think it was Bruce Lee who said to 'keep the useful and take away the unnecessary' to improve. Try this 'plain' protein. No hidden chemicals/additives/chemicals. Just plain Protein. It's what you want, it's only got what you need. No expansion foam and chemical soup.
This Whey Protein is pure awesome in a bag! I use this right after working out and it keeps me satisfied until lunch. I like that there are minimal fillers and no sugars to worry about, but do wish they would use something besides soy lecithin as I try to avoid soy. I also like the unflavored powder so mixing with other ingredients doesn't ruin the flavor and it is fine by itself. Mixing is easy no matter how I do it either in a blender, shaker cup or funneled into a water bottle. The only things I didn't like are no scoop in the bag that I have found yet, but I guess that helps keep the cost down and I'm ok with that. Also the zip on the bag does not work at all so you have to fold the top over and clip it unless you have a jug left over from another product. Other than that you can't go wrong with this Whey Protein.
