Victorinox Tweezers, Small pack of 6

Victorinox Tweezers, Small pack of 6

These fit the small Victorinox knives. The metal bits fit the larger size Victorinoxes, but the plastic handle on the tip of the tweezers is shaped differently. These tweezers fit too far down in the large knife and are hard to pull out. The photo shows a new Classic SD (the small knife) and an old (~20 years) Super Tinker next to their respective tweezers. These tweezers are the ones to the left in the photo. Note that they aren't any smaller than the other tweezers, but they go in the smaller knife; hence the name "Victorinox tweezers, small".

Perfect replacements... My wife keeps losing hers, so I can keep these handy instead of always needing to buy her a new knife.
Note: I wouldn't but them if you are looking for a general set of tweezers though... they are replacements and just as crappy as the ones you started with! They may grab a stray hair here and there, but aren't rigid and sharply honed for getting deep splinters.

If you want a really good set of tweezers, get any standard sturdy pair, then fold a piece of fine sandpaper over so the rough part is now on both sides. Pinch that folded piece of sandpaper with your good tweezers and pull the sandpaper through them a couple of times. This will make the faces square to each other. Then, while holding the tweezers in the clamped down position, drag the end across the sandpaper a few times to make the tips align perfectly. This newly honed pair will now rival any other expensive pair you can find.

These are replacement tweezers for Swiss Army knives.

The description is exactly what you get. If you have a Swiss Army knife and you lost the tweezer, this is the item for you.

That being said, I originally got these because I lost the tweezer from one of my OLD Swiss Army knives (probably from 15 years ago). If you are looking for a replacement tweezer of an old swiss army knife this isn't exactly it. It fits, but it is smaller than the original (or at least the versions from around 15 years ago) so it will sink a little bit deeper (the top will not be flush with the knife itself) and because of that it will be a little big harder to pull out. I guess if you couldn't find the older version of the tweezers these will work. NOTE: I have no idea when Swiss Army knives started using these new slightly smaller tweezers, but it definitely goes years back since I have a few newer Swiss Army knives and they use them. I just never thought to check to see if they are interchangeable as they really look the same, but the newer ones are slightly smaller.

I give this 5 starts because it is what the description says. I cannot blame it for not fitting perfectly Swiss Army knives from 15 years ago.

Good item, recommended.

I can't begin to tell you how many uses I've put these precise little tweezers to! Apart from the one in my knife, and a couple of extras: One in the first-aid kit for splinters and the like, one in the workshop for extracting or steadying parts too small for pliers (hemostats also work for some uses but the tweezers have saved my butt a lot of times), another in my jewelry kit for fixing broken strands of beads, one in my car on a keychain reel, to be summoned for fishing things out of a crack or crevice (like a button or paper clip that went AWOL...the list goes on.

You can pay a whole lot more for fancy tweezers with all kinds of bells and whistles, but if you want tweezers that will grab onto something and keep hold while you extract the thing, you cannot do better than these.

Description

Small Tweezer Set of six. Can not ship International. Crafted from the highest quality materials. Built for performance and durability. Made in Switzerland

Be careful: I read the info and reviews carefully, or so I thought, but still managed to order the wrong size. These are for very, very, small knives. An "ordinary" Swiss Army knife would take the larger version.

It was not worth returning, so now I have five extremely small tweezers for whatever I can think of to do with them. The quality is as expected.

These fit the small Tinker, but not perfectly, but they still suffice for what I needed. I had erred in my review that I had first posted when I had stated they fit perfectly. I had two knives for which I had lost the tweezers, so I am happy to have a pack of six, to be prepared for the next few lost/misplaced tweezers. Quality is good. Delivery time was reasonable.

Tweezers. You know how they work. They're not very strong just like every other one that you eve found in a swiss army knife, but they work. One issue, was that they don;t fit correctly in my swiss army knife. They do not sit flush with the top and will go too deep into the pocket. Not a big deal for me as I just turned them around so the top sticks out, but something to be aware of.

Great Tweezers, great price. There is a trick to using Victorinox Tweezers: squeeze from middle and pull slowly. Granted these are not the strongest, but they will pull a small splinter or one hair at a time. I carry a pair in my wallet for emergencies.

I gave everyone on my staff a small Swiss Army Knife for Christmas, the same kind that I have carried for years.

Eventually, the tweezers and toothpick will get lost or become damaged. I had lost my tweezers, so I just picked up these 6 spares and put them in a safe place. Now I use the tweezers fearlessly, knowing that I can replace them "from stock". And those whom I gifted with knives have been informed that I have extra tweezers.

If you get a splinter while away from home, these tweezers can be a lifesaver!
