Nice fit and easy to breathe with it on. Will test it more tomorrow while I'm in a lower quality air space. Bought this for the gnarly smoke from the wild fires (CA). Safe to safe this doesnt come close to an N95 mask, but it will help while in Santa Cruz and the rest of the southern Bay Area.
I needed a mask for cadaver lab, to block the fumes/odors of the formaldehyde. The mask is made of a quality cotton fabric, stitched well and is comfortable. The stretchy adjustable straps are made of lightweight elastic, do not pull or tug and gently fit around the ears. Seems like a winner! I recommend it.
I'm very happy with this mask, I especially like that it can be washed and the filters replaced. My only complaint is that it's very large. With the ear loops shortened almost as far as they would go it fits a bit loosely, especially the part that goes under the chin. This makes for a fairly minimal seal around the face. All I can say about a possible benefit of this generous fit is that the exhaled air easily escapes from the bottom of the mask. I wouldn't count on it to protect you from smaller particles but it's great for some less demanding uses.
I ordered this so I can deal with the smoke that is surrounding the Bay Area from the Butte fire. I retrofitted an N 95 mask to fit inside of this. This is well-made and it is cool and breathable.
Comfortable to wear during a twelve hour shift.

Wear Instructions:
A. Unfold the mask and put the filter into the inside layer after fastening, place it on the face
B.Adjust the straps on both sides of the mask to your ears and adjust the seal rings attached to ensure comfortable wearing experience.
C.Gently press the nasal splint, slowly exerting pressure inward and push from the center to both sides till it is tightly and comfortably fixed to the nasal bridge
Recommendations and Precautions: According to human physiological structure, since the blood circulation in nasal mucosa is exuberant and the channel inside nasal cavity is zigzag, they constitute a filtering "protective screen". When breathing air into nostril, airflow forms a vortex inside channel so that the airflow inhaled into nasal cavity will be heated.
Suggestions for time of wearing:
1.It is suggested to wear respirator for 2 hours and then take off to inhale fresh air for half an hour if you can breathe normally after wearing it;
2.Please shorten the time of wearing respirator correspondingly if you get forced respirator after wearing it;
3.Please stop using immediately upon having difficulty in breathing after wearing respirator;
4.Children's use of respirator shall be under the guardianship of adults. To wear respirator is one of the methods for preventing respiratory infections disease,so the most important is to keep good living habit;
5.Mask can be washable and useable(recommended cleaning for 1-2times a week)
6.Filters,disposable supplies cannot be washed(recommended replacement of 1-2 times a week)
Don't go through flu season without this! I used it on a flight where a passenger behind me was coughing the entire 4 hours. I didn't get sick. It's also super cute and made well. Remember to order replacement filters.
but definitely worth using when I load my wood burning stove and/or remove ash from the stove. makes a real difference when using this to start my indoor fire!
bought for trip to China and found them easy to use and comfortable. I'd definitely use them in the states as well on bad air quality days or around outdoor burning/fires etc.
This mask fits me perfectly and I have a small frame. Other masks were just too big. My only complaint is I wish it had exit valves.
I can mow, edge, and leaf blow with NO allergic reaction! Although it gets a bit hot in the mask, it's worth every puff of hot breath to not have to have hours of itchy eyes, irritated throat, and an inconsolable nose.
