This hot/cold pad is just what I needed for my bad back. It's the largest one I own and perfect for covering the entire back. The only drawback is that it takes about 6 min to heat up in my small 850 watt microwave, but understandable because of its size. I find it best to fold in half when placing in my carousel microwave, and flip it every 2 min to avoid overheating any areas while microwaving. Stays hot a good long while. Haven't tried it for cold therapy, as heat is what I usually need.
I have purchased many different types of heating pads, but this one exceeds all by far. It is large enough to put on your back and partially sit on it. I love that when heated, it heats your body enough to leave a warm moisture that you can rub into your skin for a more relaxing feel. It always helps when my back, neck or lower back is stiff or in pain. I can't do without one of these. I may have to order one for work!
I love this heat wrap! It is large and retains the heat for a long while. The removable covering is nice and soft, and it's easy to get it off for laundering. Because it's a nice size, it can be used on your neck, back, legs, etc. It is a little heavier than some, so it might not be great for small children or those who don't like a heavier weight on them but I think it's great as it keeps it in place. I'm glad I found this!
I have been buying bed buddies (sock) for years for my mother, each year they hold heat for shorter periods. And tend to smell. These blankets do not smell, and are great for putting in a bed to warm it up, hold their heat well, and must better for getting warm. High recommended.
I have arthritis and severe degenerative disc disease. For me, pain is everyday, all day. Simply everything hurts. I love these wraps for many reasons, and prefer it to my heating pad for many reasons:
1. If I fall asleep with it. I am not going to choke to death or cut off circulation to any part of my body because there is no cord to get wrapped up in; and I don't have to worry about burning myself, or catching the house on fire while I snooze.
2. No cord means that I can move about without having to bend over, to find electrical outlets. It gives me more freedom. I can sit wherever I want, and then simply pick it up and take it to bed with me.
3. The comfort is so much better than a heating pad. There are no wires, no big bulky controller, no cord. Heating pads just seem to touch the surface of the pain, this wrap provides a constant, moist heat that penetrates deep into the tissues, and nerves. I am not constantly switching from high heat, to low heat, to medium heat; like I would with a heating pad. Like I said, the heat is constant and this wrap holds that heat for a very long time, a lot of times it is still warm in the morning, after eight hours of sleep.
4. I love the smell. I grew up in the country. This wrap takes me back to the days of haying the fields, fresh cut alfalfa for the horses, and picking lilacs from Mom's garden.
That being said, there is no miracle cure for what I have. Pain is pain, and that is just something I have to accept. This wrap is an amazing tool in minimizing that pain. After a long day of work, being a mother, a homeowner, and trying to be as active as possible; this relief is very much welcome. Thank you, Sunny Bay!

I searched for quite sometime to find a heating wrap that could be used in the microwave and was large enough to provide lower back relief. I love this product and even more so as it is made in the USA!
My mother has arthritis in her back, and I have lower back issues. I am in physical therapy for my lower back this DEFINITELY helps me prep before I exercise my back. This along with cold packs I use following PT or excercise are A MUST PEOPLE
My mother LOVES it when she wakes up and is in pain and will sit with this. She has stated it helps her feel night and day better. IT really helps her relax before bed.

I purchased the heat wrap to lay on clients backs following a raindrop therapy session. The first time I used it, the weight and heat were very pleasant! Preheated in Microwave, then stored for an hour in my towel warmer. It was placed on top of two warm hand towels. It was a fantastic finish to a session that calms the nervous system and sooths the mind.
