Yuuki Menstrual Cup - Large Classic and Large Soft + Infuser Box + Small

Yuuki Menstrual Cup - Large Classic and Large Soft + Infuser Box + Small Gift

I love menstrual cups and the this set of the Yuuki Large in Classic and soft is no exception. I have a very high cervix is very high so a longer cup works very well for me. I also have used the Large Lunette. The cup features a clear, somewhat pearlescent finish with a hallow tub stem. I do not normally trim stems off of menstrual cups because I have a high cervix and I've never needed to before. However, the stem being hallow, seems to make it rather poky. The soft cup has a softer, more flexible stem that is still hallow, but it's softer so it's more tolerable. I chose to trim the stems off both cups. The capacity is very good, it is one of the higher capacity cups on the market.

My only complaint about Yuuki soft and classic is that both cups have to be nudged and played with to open inside my body. Under normal circumstances, I would say that the cups are too soft. However, the Yuuki classic, for those of you in the know, is nick-named "The Rock" because it is considered the stiffest menstrual cup on the market. Another thing that can cause a cup to not open is that it can be too large. As far as stiffness is concerned, the Yuuki soft is just a bit softer than the Large Lunette, which is my go-to cup. The Yuuki classic is just a bit stiffer than the Lunette Large. The Yuuki large is just a tiny bit taller and a tiny bit wider than the Lunette so I think it may actually be a bit too big for me.

I have personal preference for a color menstrual cup and also for a flat tab style stem over a hallow round stem. However, I will say that these cups perform very well. As I said, the Yuuki doesn't open well for me on it's own in either stiffness. I can use both successfully though by pinching the base of the cup after inserting to help it open up. The cups came with an infuser box which makes sterilization of all of my cups quick and easy. The cups themselves, appeared to have some kind of sticky, yet greasy, coating on them when I opened the package. I did have to clean them and boil them a couple of times to remove the residue.

Overall, these cups do the job they are supposed to do. The infuser box is very convenient, the silicone itself is very thick and appears to be nice quality (once the residue is removed) and it has some pretty awesome grip rings on the base of the cups. Despite the fact the Yuuki cups are made of such thick material, it features a barely there rim which I found most comfortable. The rim and body of each stiffness cup is the same so that the classic cup's body is the same in stiffness as the classic cup's rim and the same for the classic. I'd definitely recommend this set of cups as they give you a good start in helping your chose your Goldilocks resistance. These aren't my Goldilocks cups because of the hallow stem and lack of colors but they are really good cups.

These were my first purchase at reusable menstrual cups. After research, I bought these based on their capacity. What I have learned is that everyone seems to think their cycle is heavy, let me define heavy. Heavy is soaking a super tampon and/or pad within 2 hours. If a regular menstrual product lasts you 4 hours, you have a regular period. Mine is heavy, always has been. I overflowed this cup within 6 hours on my heaviest day.

I have a lot to say, so first let me discuss the things I liked: I have found the concept itself very positive. The cups work well, with little leakage once I learned to use it properly. They are comfortable enough to forget about. They are not messy, unlike the Instead Cup. I can go longer between changing products, I purchased 2 because I cannot stand at a sink and rinse one out, I would drip blood, I know this from experience, the average female would not have this problem. So I carry 1 in the cup in my purse, switch the clean for the used, then can clean the used once I am fully dressed. The best part of any reusable menstrual cup is you can reuse it for years saving tons of money! I much prefer these over the Instead disposable cups, see below for a more detailed comparison.

The things I did not like about this particular cup are as follows: This size is not right for me, though I have made it work. It is too long for my cervix, I will be purchasing a different product in the near future. Here is a website for size comparisons http://sizecharts.livejournal.com/ wish I found it before this purchase. In an update, I found a different folding method where I am able to push the Yukki up past my cervix, now it fits great, I am thrilled!! Also, I was disappointed that this package comes in classic and soft when I knew I wanted soft only. Indeed, the classic is hard for me to manage, my hands aren't strong enough to hold it in position. As far as wearing them, there is no noticeable difference. As an update, I purchased an OrganiCup, it was really, really soft; too soft for me to use as it stayed collapsed and didn't work at all.

Also, for those who have used the Instead disposable cup, here is how it compares: The Instead leaks almost to the point of being useless whereas the Yukki doesn't leak at all until it is full. The Instead is very messy to insert & remove, I carried disposable gloves with them, the Yukki makes no mess at all once I learned to use it and when removed in a timely fashion (except for the one time I dropped it upon removal and it bounced down my pants leg, so not funny).

I purchased the two size larges in soft and classic. I love them both! The classic is really firm and keeps its shape well so that is what I use while at the gym, not leaks. I was using a different cup in the past that would constantly leak while working out (i'm assuming the seal was breaking). This cup is very long so if you have a low cervix, this will not be the cup for you. These cups are slightly too long to use the first day of my period (when my cervix sits slightly lower), but are comfortable for use any other day. I can easily go 12 hours before emptying my yuuki cup and haven't experienced any leaks. Both cups (soft and classic) pop right open and are very easy to get in and to remove. I actually just purchased the rainbox b/c I love the classic and soft so much!

Ladies, you have to try this product! Firstly, I was diagnosed with uterine fibroids a few months ago, so my cycles have dramatically increased (sorry for TMI), but I've been able to use this product for about 3 cycles now and I absolutely love it! I was desperate to find something that would let me avoid the bathroom for more than half an hour, and I read about these cups online. My first cup was small (as I am not sexually-active, nor have I had any children), but I went through it faster than a tampon *ugh*....But with this, I can get about 2 hours on my heaviest day, and the capacity is quite large. It does have a learning curve, but once you figure it out it's a no-brainer. The silicone is smooth and clear, it has excellent grip rings, and the stems are pretty flexible. I typically use just the softer cup for normal days, but if I workout I use the classic strength because I have quite a strong pelvic floor. You'll have no trouble getting either of them to pop open, because it has great resistance. It comes with a sterilization cup as well for easy cleaning. I've tried other cups and this is by far my goldilocks.

One con is that it does not come with a cotton pouch for storage. However, I was able to get a 4 pack of cotton pouches at my local hobby store for really cheap, or you can use the cup for storage if needed. Overall this is a great cup for women who have a "size 2" flow, or want more capacity for heavy days!

I bought these cups because I have a real problem with tampons. Wearing a super plus tampon I soak completely through in just under 2 hours on my heavy days and have to wear a pad as back up. Which means even in the middle of the night I have to get up at least every 3 hours to do a complete change. With the yuuki cups I'm now able to go 4+ hours without changing. On my heavy days I have to empty it every 4-5 hours on my normal days though I can go 7-8 hours no problem without emptying.

Not to mention tampons HURT! Tampons have always caused me discomfort and sometimes straight up pain but I couldn't stand the feeling of wearing pads so I used them anyways. The yuuki cup doesn't cause me any pain or discomfort at all. And where I typcially get a yeast infection after just about every period, I haven't had a yeast infection so much as threaten to start since using the yuuki.

They take a little bit of time to get used to but the yuuki brand pops open and expands without any struggle especially compared to the rainbow cup that I previously tried. I simply fold it in half insert it let it pop open and then push it the remainder of the way in. I have a high cervix so the length of this cup was perfect sitting to where just the very tip of the stem was outside so it was very easy to reach and remove. This cup does create a good deal of suction which is one of the things that contributes to it not leaking but when removing you may have to pinch the base to make it release the suction and tilt it as you remove it.

Cleaning these cups is also very easy. I found while on my period I usually just rinse it with water before reinserting. If in a public restroom just take a small bottle of water with you in your purse. Or bring an alcohol wipe, they work rather well. Also because you do get two of these cups you can easily change out if you want to do a more full clean on the one you are using. I soak mine in peroxide in the infuser cup to ensure it is sanitized after I'm done using it.

This product has seriously changed the way I live while on my period. I would never even consider going back to tampons.

Came very quickly. It came in less than ten days from the Czech Republic to the US which is frankly amazing. I've never had an international order come so fast. The cups are of very good quality. I have the diva cup but I prefer these because of capacity. I love that it comes with a storage/sterilizer can. I like that I have two different levels of firmness. I also like that it is affordable. Two cups for this price is a steal when you compare it to the diva and other cups. Very impressed.

This was a great choice! I have used a few different cups before and they worked "ok" I had a lot of problems with leaking with the others due to softness. So I saw a previous review how much stiffer these were and how that helped with leaking so for $25 and change you get two different firmness's to try. I figured if I even liked one it was a win. I love them both....I use the classic (which is the firmer one) on my heavy days and overnight and now have very little leaking. And I use their soft (which is still much firmer than most other brands) for my normal to light days! Ashame I didn't try these first because they are the only ones I use and trust now, the others will just sit there! :(

It serves it's purpose for a good price, especially since you get two of them. Any problem I've had with discomfort or leaks have been my fault. Using a menstrual cup has a bit of a learning curve, but once you get the hang of it, it's hard to think about using tampons again. I wish that it came with a bag for carrying it in my purse.

This is my to go up on my heavy days. It took me awhile to figure out which one is classic and which one is soft as they are not marked. The difference really is insignificant. It took me about 3 cycle to figure it out and stop having leaks. So if you are new to menstrual cups just stick with it, it is so worth it. I can not imagine ever going back to tampons. I recommend it to all my girlfriends.

This is a great and best/better alternative to pads. Which I knew about this earlier. Very comfortable and works as it should, haven't had any trouble with it.
