Sagely Smart Weekly Pill Organizer - Sleek AM/PM Twice a Day Pill Box with 7 Day Travel Containers and Reminder App (Large Enough to Fit Fish Oil and Vitamin D Supplements)

Almost 2 yr update - no use making a new pic, they look the same. No fading, no cracking, lids still snapping closed nicely and sticking. I've added cayenne and turmeric supplements, both huge pills, had plenty of room for them. Still love this thing so much I slogged through all my reviews to find this and update ;)
-------
1 year update! Original review was 364 days ago, and they're still working excellently. Made a new pic, but it doesn't look any different than the others - not one bit of wear or tear, stretching, fading, nothing. I often bring a day with me in my purse, have had no escapees. Absolutely no issues with lids. Recently added a huge cayenne pill, still not even close to getting full. This has just completely 100% improved my medication experience both in taking and keeping it refilled, which I used to procrastinate a lot about. It's now fun and quick.
-----
4 month update:
Absolutely no issues. Lids are still good as new, nothing's chipped, cracked, or broken. Nothing's worn out even a little bit. Even the sharpie labels I added are perfect. Still the best decision I ever made!
--------------------------------------------
Original review:

I got so sick of all the tiny, cheap ones, having to buy a new one every few months because snaps wore out, etc. Decided to splurge on this and hope it lasted longer. Well, I'm lovin this one. I've been using these for 3 weeks now.

While there is one design flaw, in my opinion, overall these are fantastic. I took some extra pix to show...(edit: The pic order got messed up somehow, sorry!)

Pic 1. This is, imo, the one design flaw. It's difficult to see the day stamp on the clear plastic. The green side more than the blue, but having no day/time indication on the lids is a flaw. Again, imo. Eventually I'd get used to one side being AM and other being PM, but there's really no need to. Sharpie to the rescue. (And given the rubber lids and design (you don't need to touch where the writing is), it's not going to wear off any time soon)
Pic 2. Just a closeup so you can judge size better. Those are my glucoasmine/chondrointin pills, which we all know are pretty dern large.
Pic 3. Again to help judge size - you can see the holders are quite large.
Pic 4. That's the metal strip that works with the magnet in the base to hold them down. It's not the strongest magnet ever, but it's fine for normal bumping.
Pic 5. I was trying to show depth but the rubber lids are pretty strong. I included this pic because strong lids are a plus, imo. There's no snap to wear out, the lids slip down over the case edge, and since it's stiff rubber, it's quite secure. (One of my previous types of pill holders was designed like this, where 1 lid covered 2 compartments and you could remove it entirely. On these, the middle part fits in very tightly and since you can load THROUGH the lid there's no need to remove the top entirely. Seems like that would help them last longer, so I haven't even tried to pull the middle out)
Pic 6. This is so you get a good look at just how much room there is in the compartments. In the green AM side you can see the 2 large Gluc/Chon tabs and 1 large Metformin tab, and the blue PM side is 1 Metformin, 1 Gluc/Chon and a couple iron pills, krill oil, baby aspirin and another vitamin. PLENTY of room.
Pic 7. Just again for size reference and a good view of the "bowl" of the lid and the openings you load thru.
Pic 8. To show the little lip that helps keep them on the base. (and where the base magnet hides)

So the drawback of not being able to see the day marks is easily remedied with a Sharpie. The size of these probably makes them a bit less portable. You'd have a big bump in your pocket I guess, but they'd be fine in a purse or bag. These lids will not come off by accident, but if you have other loose things in that bag, I suppose small things could work their way into the container thru the lid. BUT I highly doubt any pills would fall out. That rubber is nicely stiff and you do have to push a fair bit when loading pills, so I can't see a pill making it out by itself.
One last small silly thing is, since the lids are rubber, your pills can bounce. You don't have to place them gently and carefully, but don't drop them on either ;)

All in all I have absolutely no reservations in giving these an unqualified HOT DANG. Yes, these are relatively pricey, but given the quality and really good design, I feel strongly they're worth it. Very pleased with this purchase and I'm 100% convinced of the durability. (I'm good about going back and revising reviews if needed, so if I change my mind I'll post it)

Really Good Pill Dispenser

I bought this item for myself when my cheapo one I've had for years finally decided to not stay closed and I had a fear of loosing my meds, No joke this occurred several times when the dispenser fell off of where it was and the pills went everywhere. So for me I have a few requirements in any pill organization/dispenser that I'll go into one by one. Mind you I'm legally blind so anything I buy is always with a focus on ease of use now but also can it be easily adapted if I loose all my sight.

Pros:
1. Ease of Use - LOVE the fact that the pills can just be pushed through the top of each cup. Although I have discovered that I have to be careful putting the pills through the hole or they bounce if not pushed in just right and go who knows where in the room. This didn't detract from my review though. Also, The two sides are two different colors a lime green and bright blue making it easier to know which side is which.
2. Big cups - This thing will hold a LOT of pills as the cups are probably the biggest I've seen yet of all the pill organizers I've seen.
3. Tops are tight - the lids or top of this organizer are made of a rubbery type product that is on the cups so tight you have to pull to get them off. This is really a great feature specially for me because if they fall over or if the cups are put into a purse or bag the pills won't spill out.
4. Durability - The cups and tops are very well constructed and appear as if they will last for a long time.

Cons:
1. Weak magnet in the base - The magnet that holds the cups to the base strip are really weak. This is the reason for the 4 stars and not 5. For the price I paid I shouldn't have had to solve this problem. This became an issue for me because I have cats who knock things off as well as I'm notorious for knocking things over and off tables. This allows for the cups to fall off the base to easily and get lost requiring me to find them. The worst so far was when I lost one of the days cups for around 4 days due to it falling behind something. Due to this I worked on solving the problem. My solution was to place 2 Velcro squares on each cup and base so that they would stay put. For this purpose I used the clear squares because I wanted to keep the overall look of the item intact.
VELCRO Brand - Sticky Back - 7/8" Squares, 12 Sets, Clear
2. Price - I feel the price of this item is kinda high but I'm not sorry I spent the extra money for it. However, I can see where many would view the cost as a con.

Now I use this for a weeks worth of pills at a time. As I take a dose I turn that cup around so the opposite side faces the other way, leaving it that way till the end of the week when I start of and turn them all back around. This way I know which doses I've taken just by the fact that the blue is now facing the front. Now regarding the point that if I loose my sight and/or for a person with lower to no vision just put a tactile dot on the lids on one side or on the cup itself so that you can always know by touch which dose your on.
Bump Dots - Clear, Mini Rounded-Top Round Bump Dots

Overall I'm really glad I found this on Amazon and took a chance and purchased despite the cost and highly recommend it to everybody specially if you have a lot of pills to take and or need something a little more durable then the cheap dispensers. The pros and cons I've mentioned are just my experience with the product and in no way could reflect on yours.

My review is my own and was not coerced or reimbursed in any way and is only a reflection of my opinion and experiences.

This pill box is well worth the hefty price tag. The compartments are large and can hold large pills as well as a significant amount of smaller pills. The magnetic base is very nice in that it securely holds the daily containers in place. I refill my containers on Friday evening and since the individual days are not connected like they were on my old inexpensive pill box I can rearrange my week to fit my needs (Friday is my "last" day). The containers are brightly colored. Each day is well labeled with large letters on the front and back. There is a slit in the top of each lid to push the pills into the container as well as a dimple to hold the pills before loading them. This method of "loading" the containers is very quick . I can double-check that I have each day's pills correct before pressing them inside the appropriate day/time well. The lids stay securely closed for travel but at the same time are not difficult to open when needed. The clear view of the containers allows you to see if you have taken all of your pills for the day. I highly recommend this pill organizer even though the price is much more than the average pill container.

This is a fabulous medication organization product! Each bin is nice and roomy for all my supplements I take on a daily basis. This is essentially 2 weeks of storage (each day has 2 compartments), which is great for saving time! It's a little pricey, but it was worth to me. Opening 15 bottles of supplements every morning was becoming quite time consuming! I highly recommend this product!

This is so easy to use and has replaced several large vitamin bottles in my bathroom drawer with this one easy to use organizer. The containers are big enough to hold several vitamins and fish oil capsules, along with prescription drugs. They are color coded for day and night and have a magnetic base so they stay in place. I turn the container after the day is done so it's easy to see from the top which one is next and when the colors on the lids are facing one directly it's time to reload, though they are labeled for each day of the week. It's easy to insert the pills into the top and flip the lid up to pour them into my hand when ready to use. Ingenious! Highly recommend.

Let's face it, most pill boxes are ugly. This one's not ugly ( : It's actually rather stylish.
The nicest features are:
Large size boxes--you can fit a lot of larger pills or supplements in each side.
Color coded for day and night (green = day, turquoise= night) at least at our house.
Little slits in the top, so you can place pills on the top of each box while sorting, then push them in when you have the whole week siting on the tops
THIS IS HUGE--BECAUSE THEN I DON'T FORGET WHICH COMPARTMENT ALREADY HAS A PILL--I line them all up and then push them all in. No memory lapses. Well, unless you can't remember which pills you have done----but I have a system with the pill bottles so I don't forget that either ( :
Daily boxes (7)--that detach from the gray magnetic base, so you can keep the entire thing one place and only move the daily box to the kitchen or wherever you take the pills.
Great detailed information on the product page--one of the nicest instruction/feature pages I've seen
There is also an app to set pill reminders, but we've got something else and I have not tried that.

The only thing I would improve is to make the magnet on the base a little stronger, as sometimes I bump the boxes off the base, when moving the whole unit. But maybe it's weaker so that people with weak hands, or arthritic hands can remove the boxes for themselves.

Ergonomic success---finally someone fixed the issue of too tiny compartments and came up with a solution so you don't have to go back and dump out pills, if you think your missed a slot. Nice work.

Absolutely LOVE this! I have issues with OA in my hands as well as both thumb joints being replaced. I have lost a great deal of pinching, grasping, and opening abilities in my thumbs. This pill organizer makes it a breeze to refill my pills for the week. Being able to just push the pills in from the top of a closed container is ingenious! The only complaint I have is that I wish the magnets were a little stronger. I find them coming off the base very easily and I would rather they not do that when I am filling it up. The other part I love is that we often make 3-day trips and I was always having to find another container to put 3 days worth of pills in. Not anymore! I just grab the days from the tray and I am set to go!

Got 13 vitamins in each holder and as you can see in the second picture there still room for more. It’s not even really 3/4 full. Vitamin pills like vitamin D and glucosamine/chondroidtin which are huge. I’m a nurse and I’ve seen people struggle with pill containers for 25 years, including my mother. I wish I had found this before she passed, dealing with cancer and a host of other illnesses. I would watch her fumble with her pill organizer and drop things on the floor and forget what she had put where, but she wouldn’t let me help her. Just be sure to press each pill completely down into the hole so they don’t pop back out at you. The magnet seems strong. I filled it completely up and turned it over and it held. You wouldn’t be able to pound it or hit it or anything, because they would definitely fall, but at least the magnets hold with light/gentle motion. Best thing is the leather size of the individual containers and the holes. Being able to place the pills on top helps keep your from losing track if have to walk away during filling as long as you move the bottle you’ve already used, and leave the other pills on top, when you come back, you’ll easily see where you left off. And I travel for work so I like that I can pick up a couple individual units and pop them in my travel bag and have everything I need. I can also keep one in my purse if I want for emergencies or in my car. I think I’m also going to put my prescription medications in here. I don’t use the day/night feature. I use each one for a complete day so that I can feel the organizer for 14 days at a time, if that makes sense. But if I did have medications I needed to take in the morning and then at night, this would also be excellent for that.

Best pill organizer I've found by far. The others are either too small for my 2 large tablets and 3 other small pills and they were clumsy to load because the lids didn't open far enough. I found this one solves both of these problems. While it takes up a bit more counter space, each daily container is discreet, so you don't have to pick up an entire organizer to dispense a morning's dosage; they fit neatly on a little platform and are easily opened. The rubberized cap makes loading them super easy: I just dispense all my pills once a week on top of the lid and then press them in...bing, bing, bing, and I'm done. I also turn the daily unit around so that I know I've taken them in the morning and at night...I can see inside the container, also. Another advantage is that each compartment is separate so that it can be easily diced up and put in a suitcase, etc. for easy travel. Very nicely thought out.

Positives: allows filling through closed lid as promised. Roomy for multi-pill use. Stays closed until you open it, but then opens quite easily. Great for quick trips where you can just grab 2 or 3 days of pods and stick them in your bag.

Negatives: As others have said, the magnets are so weak that they are ineffective. And another wise user recommended using a Sharpie to put the day and AM/PM on top, since you can't easily see the sides, where the day is marked. I did this and it's a great idea. If the company can fix these two design flaws they would have a 5-star product.

BUT: Note the product dimensions carefully. This thing is as long as your arm and creates quite a visual footprint on your counter. See photo.
