I have been using this Fashy all through the cold season for approximately 7 years and has never leaked once. I use it when I am doing desk work (alternate between placing it at my feet and in my lap). I use it when I go to bed to warm my feet, which helps me go to sleep so much more easily. Sometimes if it is particularly cold out I will tie it to my low back using a wide scarf and it keeps me warm while I walk about town or walk the dog to the water's edge.
It is perfect: It is odorless, good texture (not sticky), stands up to time. My last Fashy did develop a weird coating inside that I could not remove despite trying a number of agents including bleach, then vinegar. I believe it to have been water mineral deposit. It was purely a cosmetic issue, but forgot that hot water bottle at a hotel and was glad to replace it with a beautiful new one :). I anticipate will last years more, and will pay for itself a thousand times in keeping me warm while the house is 64 Fahrenheit. I can't believe everyone doesn't have one of these!
Both of them keep the temperature of the water overnight. The reason I didn't give a five star is one of the hot water bottles changed from transparent to a yellowish color in the top funnel after <2 months usage.
It works well to keep the temperature of the water. It is mostly odor free, but there is still a light distinct smell that would carry over to the blankets or clothing, it doesn't really bother me but I can see other people not liking it. The side edges of the bottle is not completely smooth, which I would assume could be easily sanded smooth. But why wasn't something like this done in the factory? It is like running your fingers over a really really dull knife, but I would prefer not to do so.

Years ago, i used a hot water bottle instead of an electric heating pad. I hadn't thought about using a hot water bottle until a friend of mine came to visit from Germany. She brought a hot water bottle with her in her suitcase to use if she had a few aches! So, I looked online and found this water bottle! Exactly like the one my friend had. It works great and it's even better if you purchase a cover to go over it. Great to use instead of an electric heating pad.
