I take this water bottle camping at an outdoor apprenticeship course during the chilly months - I fill it up before bed and it keeps my sleeping bag pretty toasty all night. I love the fleece cover - I had used one like this before, so I was specifically looking for that feature, but I was especially pleased with this one because the cover is removable (the one I used was actually attached to the bag). I purchased it in May and used it about 6-8 different times since then - no leaks from mine (a couple reviews described leaks). Very pleased with this purchase thus far - I'll update if I ever have an issue!
UPDATE DECEMBER 2018: I still use this water bottle. Whether it's cramps (sorry if TMI, but real life chat here), a cold bed in the winter, an ear ache, etc, I have been extremely pleased with this water bottle. I use it at least once a month, more in the winter.
Great water bottle so far ,thick materials and feels well made . I wouldn't worry about filling it with boiling water if your tap doesn't get hot enough I did and it seems just fine , holds heat well.

I have TMJ which causes pain in my face periodically. This water bottle is the perfect size to hold or lay my face on to help relieve my discomfort. It has a smooth side and a thicker side with ridges. It states to cover water bottle with bag or cloth when using, but I prefer to use it without cloth because it doesn't get hot enough to burn. I fill the bottle half full of hot tap water, screw in the plug tightly, and lay my head on the smooth side of the bag. I've actually fallen asleep a few times as it feels like a warm pillow against my aching jaw. It is the perfect size for my lower back as well. It looks and feels well made and I've not had any leakage from the plastic plug. It works perfect for me.

I'm still very happy with this purchase. It has saved me from much discomfort over the past year and it's still holding up very well.
This stays warm for so long. I put hot water in at night, put in the bottom of my bed and it's still slightly warm in the a.m. Good way to warm up the toes in the winter.

I use this for my baby kitten Fosters. I put in hot water from the tea kettle and it'll last about 4 to 5 hrs. Works great
This takes a few more minutes to transmit heat than a rubber hot water bottle. However, I think it stays warm longer. It also looks nicer and is easier to clean than rubber.
I bought these as an alternative to an electric blanket. I used to have a blanket but when it malfunctioned and I was doing research to purchase a new one, I realized it was a safety risk (many of the reviews were citing issues with the blanket I had just disposed of). I missed my toasty warm bed terribly. I am happy to say that two of these bottles have done the trick. I purchased a three more so the rest of the family could enjoy a toasty bed as well. The bottles are sturdy, seal tightly and retain heat well (the water is still warm when I dump it the following evening) and the warmth is just right, not too intense. The fleece cover is comfy and stays in place. My only complaint is how much the price fluctuated, which I'm not sure has much to do with the product. I originally put these on my Wish List and they were around $15, but after the holidays purchased them myself and noticed the price had dropped to around $10. I understand some fluctuation, but that's a significant percentage.
