Terrific product, fits nicely around neck and shoulders, stays hot a lot longer than my hot packs filled with deer corn (or hot packs with rice). WARNING: if you overheat once by accident, the clay will solidify and will no longer be malleable. Still works, but I can't push the clay filling around anymore.
It's a great shape. It's a little uncomfortable to use as it is.
My recommendation:
- slide the pack inside of a long sock and place around your neck to keep the edges from digging into your skin
I use this as a heating pad. Although it says not to exceed 1 minute in the microwave, I have found that it does not stay hot long enough, I first heat it at 1 minute then redistribute the clay and put it in for another 15-30 seconds. Be careful not to put it directly on the skin, use a sheet or towel. It stays hot longer than 15 minutes,
This fits perfectly on your neck and is great for temporary relief of pain. My only complaint is that it does not stay cold for as long as I would prefer. But I also ice for longer than is recommended. ☺️

I have been having a lot of upper back pain lately and this clay lack has been a life saver. I have only used it as a cold pack so far. It cools extremely quickly (20 minutes in the freezer and it's ready) and is heavy enough to apply comfortable pressure to the area, but not so heavy it is uncomfortable. I'm a teacher and I will usually wear it around my classroom in the afternoon. I've almost left my room with it on since it is so comfortable!
This is a very good cold pack. Super flexible, stays cold for 30-40 minutes. It's not as heavy as my previous one, which was an issue if my shoulder was really inflamed. The construction seems like it will stand the test of time. The only negative is that it's not as large as I thought it would be ( from looking at the photos). I would buy it again!
Nice ice pack that fits easily on the neck and back. It's very cold, so i use a small towel around the ice pack when using it.
The 2nd ice pack I ordered had too much liquid, or not enough clay, but I sent an email to FOMI and they sent out a replacement the next day. The replacement ice pack was perfect - great customer service.
I bought this when my old, huge, rectangular clay pack was showing wear and tear. The size and shape are perfect for me. I've had major (posterior) neck surgery, and cold is my first go-to for pain relief. I can even walk around without this falling off, and also easily use it while driving without slippage which is a huge benefit. Stays cold for a long time, too!
As a person living with chronic illnesses, I appreciate the FOMI Clay products because they help alleviate some of the migraine and fibromyalgia pain. I plan on sharing these products on Migraine FaceBook sites that I follow. Great tools for my arsenal!
