I bought this to try out the technology, at a reasonable cost. I was disappointed at how small it really is. The size of the whole thing is approximately 16" x 22" (actually 15.5" x 21.5"), but there is a large border. The part that heats up is only 9" x 18". If you count the stones, you can see that the heating pad in the picture is actually the bigger one. I bought the bigger one and intended to return this one, but ended up keeping both. The smaller one is easier to wrap around my arm or leg, and will be easier for travel. I find the deep heat to be a very effective form of pain relief.
I liked the heated stones as they certainly hold heat. This works best in my opinion as supplement to a traditional heating pad. Careful the stones can get hot.

So far the pad has worked for my tendonitis and a quick recovery from training. You do have to get into the habit of using it frequently sometimes to maintain your gains. Get one. It works! 👍

THE PRODUCT

This has become a bed side staple for me. I have NMOSD (similar to MS) and have spine pain, back knots, and neuropathy caused by a Transverse Myelitis attack (due to NMOSD) in 2017 (at 28 years old).
THE BEST COMBO FOR PAIN RELIEF: An anti-inflammatory diet (yeah it sucks to hear, but it honestly has helped my recovery and pain), Penetrex cream, a Plexus wheel set (foam rollers are bush league in comparison), and this heating pad. I'll get straight to the point and say if you need help relieve any type of pain, please consider getting these items. I have gone through physical therapy, an insane amount of pills (especially opioids), electroaccupuncture, chiropractic adjustments, TENS units, altered my diet (food is medicine or medicine will be your food), and more.
The combo I listed above has improved my state immensely and I hope it does the same for anyone reading this.
PROS:

- Easy to read heat setting with one simple dial. The large, red lit numbers are easy on the eyes at night
- Unlike other heating pads a flimsy fabric cover is not necessary. The surface is very comfortable to use on top of clothing.

CONS:
- Cords of remote both come out, side-by-side, of the bottom. This is kind of a pro and con as it does keep the cords less in the way, but maneuvering the pad sometimes makes the remote flip flop around also due to the sturdy, thick cords.
- Auto shut off can not be adjusted (to my knowledge, and I may be wrong, but I have not been able to turn it off)
I do wish there was a way to "wrap" this pad around desired areas because it provides such penetrating heat. A combination of those weighted blankets and this pad would be a dream.

It truly is so different than your typical drugstore heating pad. It gives an even and deep heat that does help with alleviating pain.
This smallest pad is just the right size for me and works very well on my back.
I have tried regular heating pads for my chronic back pain but they don't really help. This back rescue with the natural stones is a lot more powerful and effective. It is very well made and does a great job. When my back flares up, I have to bend to walk and can't stand up straight. After a 30-60 minute session on this I can stand straight and walk without pain. I highly recommend this product!
