I bought these for my arthritic hands. Some days the pain is unbearable. When they hurt that bad I pull out some of my Deep Relief YL essential oil mix, rub it on my knuckles, put my hands in cotton moisturizing gloves, and stick them in these. It's the best feeling. This has 3 settings; low, med, high.
Other purchases have commented on the fact that there is no cover for these and you can burn yourself. They are correct These are basically heating pads folded over and sealed on 3 sides, but they have no kind of cover to protect the hands. You definitely need to put something over your hands when using these. I bought cotton therapeutic/moisturizing hand gloves. You could just wrap your hands in cotton fabric if you wanted.
I'm still giving it 5 stars because it does what I want and I am careful with my hands.
Do not let little kids play with these, they could definitely get burned. These are not toys for kids.

I have been looking for a heating device for months since I discovered that most heating pads manufactured in the past 10 years might reach a "just warm" stage due to the over litigious nature of today's society, i.e., too many people complaining that their heating pad got "hot" and burned them . . . mostly because they lack the intelligence to handle something correctly that could possibly burn them.

Anyway, read the reviews for this item . . . and when I reached the review that said "gets too hot", I knew it was for me.

Put a damp washcloth in your microwave and heat it for a 1 minute. This item comes about 2 clicks away from getting that hot. I am using it for a thumb that has developed arthritis on my writing hand . . . Put my hand in this baby for about 2 minutes and it feels better.

Buy it if you are responsible and actually desire something that produces heat. Otherwise, head to Walgreens to get a self-protected one that warms slightly.

I got these because I'm having issues with my hands and my Physical Therapist suggested wet heat. I took lotion and then put clean socks on my hands and they felt so much better, but they also felt so much softer as well. I am thinking about seeing if they have a version for the feet.

*Update*

Still think this is the best thing ever, although I would like to suggest maybe putting something over your hands if your going to use it on high. It does get a little too hot for bare fingers on high. I usually use a pair of socks that haven't been used but a towel or some type of mit would work as well. I still have no regrets buying this.

This little device is almost great. It gets REALLY hot on the top setting, which would be good if I had some mitts to wear, but I don't yet. The instructions say to put cream on the hands, then slip the plastic bags over. I find this very unpleasant. I the pads are used without the bags and my hands get sweatty, it's a little hard to get them out of the sleeves as they stick to the sides. This thing really needs terry mittens or maybe a flannel insert to be comfortable to use. They should be included! I'm going to work on that idea. Otherwise, it's been very helpful and it has eased my morning hand stiffness from tendonitis.

If your hands get really dry or rough, these mitts can be really terrific for re-hydrating them. I lather on my favorite hand lotion really thickly, leaving the lotion very moist then turn on the mitts and insert my hands and just rest them for maybe 15 minutes or until I get bored. I like the temperature moderately warm. My hand feel wonderful and my skin plumps up and looks great. It's a bit boring to have my hands unavailable for every little scratch or itch, so I like to watch an engrossing movie at the same time. I should do it a couple of times a week, but I usually get busy and forget. But they're basically a no-fuss way to deal with skin that needs more than just lotion.

I bought this for my arthritis. I love it. You can adjust the temperature. Very well made. The only thing is I would definitely recommend wearing some kind of spa glove when using it. There is no cover and your hands will get sweaty. Really feels good when your hands are hurting and feeling stiff. I would definitely recommend this.

I’m very happy I bought these! I love that they come with a soft cover that protects your hands from sticky sweaty from the plastic heating portion. DOWN FALL: The cord is so short compared to any other heating pad I’ve purchased. Makes relaxing comfortably difficult while wearing the gloves. I wear them for arthritis. The heat helps loosen my muscles to stretch & ease the pain. WISH: they also had an option to wear as a sleeve around forearms. A lot of hand pain also stems from the tendents in your forearm. It would be nice to simply undo a snap after using them on my hands & slide them up over my forearms. Either way, one of the best purchases I’ve made for the sake of my hands.

I have been having so much trouble with arthritis in my hands. These give me quick relief. I was seeing a therapist. He suggested one of those hot wax spas. Well, they take forever to heat up. When your hands hurt, you don't want to wait around a long time for something to heat up.

I was so happy to find these heated mitts online. They really help my arthritic hands, but also help with moisturizing my hands too.

I bought these to warm massage bottles. I did not want to warm bottles sunk in warm/hot water. I also have had the expensive, stainless steel, professional warmers, that never melt the bottles, but barely get the lotion room temperature. The Conair Mitts are by far a superior way to go.

These Conair mitts have 3 levels of heat. The first is a little low. The 2nd pretty good, and the 3rd will melt the bottles enough that their shape will be distorted and evetually useless. I cut tops off from the feet of cotton socks, to use the those tops to insulate the bottles. Just slide the bottles into the cotton sleeve you have devised and then place the sleeved bottle in the mitt,

Place the mitt upright in a small box , just big enough to place the two mitts upright with a folded handtowel between the two mitts to keep the mitts from heating further up because they are touching.

YOU MUST NOT screw the lids on when warming them, or the heated lotion will expand up and out spewing inside or outside the mitt, according to how deep you place the bottles. Just set the lid on loosely, and when ready to use screw them on completely.

I wad up the "foot" portion of the sock that I cut off and stuff it into the bottom of the mitt to spread it out to stablize it's upright postion and keep the bottle from sliding down. Actually, I have a half dozen socks invested for this so I can wash them in rotation, when needed.

ALSO, I plugged the mitts into a timer that starts heating up the bottles 30 minutes before I arrive at the clinic, and turns off 30 minutes before closing time. . May sound complicated but it actually is easy. I am no longer messing with how to heat bottles! As Forrest Gump noted: "That's good. One less thing."

When I go to the salon for a manicure, my favorite part is when they put lotion on my hands and then put them into the heated mitts. I bought these for home use. I use poly, food grade gloves to protect from accidental burns. I use the "low" heat setting, and relax in them for about 15 minutes. You can use any of your favorite lotions. I also use medicated lotions because I have arthritis. The heat is wonderful to get the medicated lotion in deep. I also gave them as gifts to my mother and best friend.
