These are not high durability frames. Kinda flimsy, actually. Dollar store quality.
However, what they do have is compactness and a nice semi-rigid case. They make a great emergency pair of glasses for if you lose a contact lens or your prescription glasses (so long as your script is +4 or less).
I bought these expecting them to be what they are, and for my purpose they will be perfect - a small, light, compact and protected replacement for my contacts if I lose a lens while camping/fishing/hunting, etc. They will be close enough to my prescription to give me functional sight and "get back home" vision. They will also be great temporaries if I pick up an eye irritation and have to skip the contacts for a day or two.
If they were higher quality I would have given the a 5.
These are also good to stash in the vehicle in case you find yourself needing to read really fine print on a package at the store. They just aren't up to being every day reader/cheaters.
I was going to give this 3 stars but after factoring price, decided to give an extra star. Yes, the plastic is on the cheap side. Feels very light and would probably scratch easily. The fit is just so- so. But I wanted something foldable and compact so I can keep in my bag all the time. I'm not there yet with permanently wearing reading glasses as a fashion accessory around my neck. My regular, sturdier, pricer reading glasses were always at my desk and not very useful when it's not on me when out and about. The PROs far outweighs the CONs in my instance. NOW I can read menus at restaurants and small legal print and nutrition/ingredient lists when grocery shopping. The case is sturdy enough to keep the glasses from getting crushed in my bag. The clip is a nice plus since some of my purses have a loop to hook it on. I also like the fact that the nose piece is a seamless element on the frame. Glasses with a separate nose pad tend to snag my hair when I leave it up temporarily on the top of my head. Would not recommend for daily use but to have in your purse for the occasional need to read small print, this works really well.
I love these and use them often when I'm out to dinner, grocery store or a book store. They are not for frequent use as they fold up and are a bit fragile. However, my intentions for purchasing them were for when I forgot my glassses and needed to read. I've had them over 6 months and they're are still in excellent condition with frequent use. Yes, I do forget my glasses way too much. Also, they fit well on my face with no slippage and the power is exactly as I had requested. The case is very durable so the glasses have not been damaged at all even in my overly crowded bag.
Getting three pairs for $12.99 is a pretty good value, the quality of the frames is fair, but they stay on my face and the lenses are pretty good. I keep a pair in my car, in my desk, and in my coat. If a lose a pair, no big deal. I'm pretty happy with them.
I just clipped one of these onto my key chain. Now when I'm at the store or something I actually have some reading glasses on me when I need them. They kinda feel flimsy, but I don't know how to avoid that with so many articulations. I'm willing to be gentle in order to be able to read stuff in situations where I previously had to struggle.
Oh, and when I say "flimsy" I'm talking about the frame. The protective case that comes with the glasses seems to be quite sturdy.

Bought this for my husband who keeps breaking regular reading glasses. He really likes them, especially the clasp that allows him to hook them to his belt look which frees up his pockets. This is a very good buy.
I use these as temporary glasses while I'm out and about, running, eating, anywhere I need to read something when not carrying my real glasses. In this usage, they are fine, maybe a little strong for the advertises +3 I got. Yes they are very flimsy, however they do seem to tolerate being handled OK. I clip the case to my running pack or belt loops. I hope the case holds up over time, that is what makes them useful for my application.
Okay, so they’ll never be considered a high fashion statement, but these little beauties are spectacular. I keep one set of them hanging from my purse strap so that I always have readers accessible when I’m out of the house. They are so easy to use, fold right back up when done. I’ve had several people ask where I got them. No more scratched up readers hidden at the bottom of my purse!
These are nice and very convenient, I originally bought two pair but I like them so much I bought 3 more (one for each vehicle plus a pair to keep in my desk and a pair for my briefcase). The feel a little flimsy at first but they are extremely comfortable
If you keep in mind these are actually cheaters that fold up, they’re GREAT! Easy to toss into a bag, backpack or purse & always ready to whip out & impress your friends when you need some help reading the back of the wine bottle!
