I ordered this after having hand surgery, and having to wear a custom fitted hard splint for 12 weeks. I wanted to be able to change the stockinette as often as needed for the entire time.
This has a good thickness and weight, holds a crease well so you can create a neater cuffed edge. Has nice elasticity and doesn’t overstretch or become saggy. Very little fraying and unraveling.
With 25 yards there is plenty here, but you can also hand wash and air dry if you want to get a little more use out of it.
It also came in a nice box, which keeps it clean and sanitary, just pull the amount you need, cut, and close the top, no worries of dropping the whole roll on the floor and having it unroll everywhere, or having to touch the entire roll to cut what you need.
If you need stockinette, this is a great choice.
Great for liner of my husband's walking boot. BTW, he wears a size 11 EEE shoe and the 3" works well.
I purchased this for my 4 yr old who has terrible eczema and was sleepibg with socks on his hands. i would wake up and see he put his socks on so he stopped itching. So I went on a search for this tubing and could not find it anywhere .. finally here it is .. I cut two arm size pieces and little holes for his thumbs after I cover his arms woth his medicine we put this over .. His eczema has never looked better
This is exactly what I needed, to make "socks" to line the uncomfortable silicone rubber flange of a CPAP mask.
Because this material is knitted in a ribbed stitch, it's also better for this purpose than another kind I had gotten, for a different use, from a physical therapist (that kind was knitted in flat stockinette stitch, the edges of which rolled up and shed a lot of lint, when cut). The edges of this kind lie flat and don't roll, and it doesn't shed lint as badly (be sure to use very sharp scissors, so as not to mangle the delicate cloth).
It doesn't interfere with the fit or sealing properties of the CPAP mask, and the pieces can be washed and re-used (I wash them by hand). For a small-sized full-face mask cushion, I cut 1-yard lengths of 2-inch stockinette into 3 pieces, then fold a piece in half (back on itself) and stretch the now double-layer tube over the mask cushion, covering the silicone part, with the folded edge towards the face opening. It loosens a little overnight, but can be realigned to wear it again (say, for a nap the next day), before changing it for a new piece. Pieces for medium or large size masks may need to be cut an inch or two longer.
This giant roll of stockinette is much more economical than the after-market "CPAP covers" that the NP at the sleep medicine doctor's office suggested (those were 2 for $35, the last time I looked). It's important to comply with CPAP treatment, so if you're about to give up on it because the mask is so uncomfortable, try using this stockinette to make the cushion feel better against your skin.
If you don't like how it works, you can use the stockinette tubes for other purposes: for cushioning fragile knickknacks when packing them for shipping or storage; as a "tamer" for multiple electrical cords or electronics cables; cut into non-latex elastic bands to hold other objects together (you know how rubber bands eventually dry rot? this stuff won't do that); tied into little bags for bouquet garni (instead of cheesecloth) when cooking, or in place of muslin for home-made tea bags.... Use your imagination, and your small investment in this stockinette won't be wasted.
This stockinette is great for using under my wrist braces. The cotton is a bit thinner than other medical grades but because you get such a long roll I double it up and it helps in keeping my brace from aggravating my skin. It stretches well so use caution if cutting a hole for your thumb as you will only need a very tiny one for a good fit. I'd recommend this for anyone needing brace protection be it hand or foot. I wouldn't recommend for a knee brace as it most likely won't stretch a wide as you'd need it. Overall great value.

Exactly what I needed for lightweight liner inside my aircast walking boot. The thick fuzzy sock that came w walking boot too hot for summer weather. Regular socks too bulky. Compression socks too tight (and unnecessary at this stage of healing). I just needed something lightweight so my toes and shin didn't sweat. Perfect.
It protects my broken, healing wrist, prevents any rubbing or irritation and fits easily under the removable brace I wear when I go out..A very large roll for a very reasonable price.
Inexpensive huge roll, so I can daily put a fresh sock on my hand underneath my thumb wrist hand brace. Highly recommend. Great lightweight material.
This roll arrived quickly and is exactly what I need! I have two arm splints and it is hot and humid where I live so must change liner often. Even with having to change both arms, this is lasting a good long time. It holds the edge cut well without a bunch of gray.
This size worked well for my fore arm and just around elbow but would be too tight for upper arm.
It's not quite the one that my physical therapist has, but it's very close. It's MUCH better than other ones that I have bought for similar prices. The other ones in the $10-$20 price range I have had to double up, but this one I only use one layer. The only thing I don't like is that it's white white, but for this price and quality I can over look that. I just had my third hand surgery in a year and have spent and am still spending a lot of time in the plastic molded splints and this is perfect to wear underneath. You could hand wash or even run it through the washing machine, but at this price I honestly cut a length, wear it 4-5 days, then cut a new one and use the old one for cleaning or throw it away. I would definitely recommend and I will be buying again.
