The lenses are reasonably good and accurate. The frames are flexible. They have held up okay for a couple of weeks. But they do bend out of shape somewhat and the nose pieces in particular keep getting out of alignment when I put them in my pocket, which causes them to sit unevenly on my face and makes them uncomfortable until realigned. They can be realigned easily, but I wonder how many times I will be able to do that before the metal becomes fatigued and the nose pieces just break off. They do come with a very nice case and bag, which would protect them, but which I will never use because I put the glasses on and take the glasses off too often. Getting them in and out of a case dozens of times a day (if not more often) is just not practical. The glasses have to be handy RIGHT NOW and then get out of my line of sight immediately when I am done with them.
In addition, for any aviator-style readers, the user has to understand that they cover the entire field of view, making it impossible to do the classic bi-focal thing -- looking down to read, up to see into the distance clearly. With these on, you can really only read clearly, because your distance vision will be out of focus. Obviously, this exacerbates the need for quick on-off capability for those of us with more active lifestyles. That said, these would be great for somebody who just reads while sitting in a specific place, or a few times per day.
Great quality for the price. I couldn't find anything like this locally, so I was excited to find this style online. I love that it comes with a cloth, tool, and carrying case. I used them yesterday for the first time for a few hours and loved them, and got complimented on the style. Definitely recommend, as long as you realize the lenses cover your entire life of vision. So you can't peek over them like you do other with smaller reading glasses.
The frame is very light and flexible, good for wide faces, and the lenses are not weighty even in the 4.0 magnification. They were delightfully comfortable, and I'll order another pair for a spare.
These are great computer/reading glasses, cheap enough to replace when scratched but far better than similarly priced drug store ones.
