I got this for showering while recovering from foot surgery. At first it was a little awkward to use, but once I figured out the best way to get it on my foot, I was golden. Seals well in the shower. Be sure to shake the water out of the top area before taking it off, though.
I would highly recommend only using this for showers. Don't use for long baths nor swimming. It works by creating a tight seal on your leg and may inhibit circulation for longer usage. While it wasn't uncomfortable to use while showering, I could definitely see it not being ideal for longer wear.
In preparation for bilateral foot surgery, I bought two of the Seal Tight foot/ankle cast/bandage protectors. I was really nervous about using these to shower, because my doctor had sternly told me that under no circumstances should the bandages (on both feet) get wet. I had to wear surgical shoes the entire first week after the surgery and was still kind of wobbly when I went to shower on Day #3, so I kept the shoes on and pulled the protectors over them. The foot portion didn't quite fit because the protectors are apparently not made to go over surgical shoes - I thought the shoes would be about as bulky as a cast, but I guess this wasn't the case. However, the collar at the top fit snugly and my bandages stayed dry. Be sure that no portion of the bandage is sticking out above the rubber collar, or it'll act like a wick. The rubber collar is extremely taut, so you really have to stretch the opening to get it over a shoe or bandages; some people might need help with this. I'd also suggest drying the top of the protector before you remove it after you shower - water pools up on the horizontal surface, and you wouldn't want it to spill over your bandage or cast when you remove the protector. Next time (if there IS a next time!) I'd by a larger size to accommodate the surgical shoe better. Overall, this is a very clever and useful product.
This has been a life changer. I had to have extensive surgery on my foot. I could not get my foot wet for over 7 months (except to clean it with sterile saline). This cast cover kept my ankle & foot completely sealed and dry in the shower, at the beach, & the pool. No sand got to my foot the few times I went to the beach either. Definitely worth it!!
The cast protector performs exactly as advertised and has made my recovery from foot surgery a lot easier. In the past, I had used garbage bags, plastic wrap, etc. to waterproof casts while healing. This protector does the job, as advertised and is a great value for the money!

This was perfect for taking a real shower after surgery. It wasn’t slippery, and did the job.
This product was exactly as ordered which was for the foot/ankle not full leg, some customers had complained about receiving the full leg although the box was labelled foot/ankle. I wanted the shorter version for the foot so I could wash and shave that leg. If you follow the simple instructions properly you will insure that it is completely waterproof. It is made of very strong material, I have long nails and didn't have any problems with the plastic tearing. The opening on the seal is very small but stretches adequately to fit over bandages but you will need to use both hands to stretch it open. I would advise not using too hot of water in the shower in order to prevent condensation on the inside of bag. After the shower wipe off outside of bag/seal and after removing let the bag dry out on a counter top. This will last for the 2 weeks I need to keep my bandages dry and I will use it again when I have the surgery on the other foot. The price was reasonable for such a quality item and definitely worth it! I am extremely pleased the purchase and it has made the process of showering after surgery extremely easy!
Post foot surgery, I'm having to keep my foot dry and after a few days of trying to shower with a plastic bag and rubber bands, I found this item on Amazon. Pros: it keeps my foot and dressing dry, even when taking a 'real' shower; it fits my size-14 foot, although if I had a hard cast, it might be tight. Cons: it takes some care to stretch the opening over my foot and dressing, but it's not a deal-breaker (or foot-breaker). Overall, I'm pleased with this product; it is making my recovery much easier.
Had toe surgery, and could not get the bandage wet for 2 weeks. This cover was awesome. I used it every day during the 2 weeks. Easy on and off. I put a sock over the bandage which helped ease taking it on and off. I also dabbed the outside before removing to soak up external water before removing. Made my recovery more pleasant since I could shower without worrying about the bandage getting wet. Well worth the money, and it is still useable if needed in the future.
I am shocked at how well this works. This protector goes up to right above ankle, perfect for surgery I had on my big toe. I did play it safe by putting sock on my foot before pulling it on and stepping into shower. Not a drop of water seeped in. Better than I'd hoped.
