I am really enjoying this tea, which I have purchased from Amazon many times now. I can see why it is called "honeybush," as the taste and aroma truly do resemble honey. It has a mellow, natural sweetness to it that really does not need sweetening, and a very mild, easy taste that reminds me of chamomile tea, in that it has a soft, understated character with no bitter note or aftertaste, and a bit of a woodsy note. I have never added milk to this tea, but I may try it and see what it does. I love it straight, and have even enjoyed the random mug I have accidentally allowed to cool down too much. I have been able to have it either in the early morning, midday, with meals, between meals, on an empty stomach, or very late at night--all with no issues. The taste is honey-like and light, with the tiniest hint of mesquite when freshly poured. If it sits for a considerable amount of time, it develops an additional note that reminds me of fig leaves. This is a completely caffeine free tea that is even given to tiny children and to people taking meds, as it does not interact adversely with anything or have any known adverse effects to the health. I have heard it is great for the skin, and perhaps it is all true, from what I have noticed. I would call this a nourishing tea. If it has any calming effects, they are probably all cerebral, and it may just be due to how pleasant and easy it is to drink, and how relaxing pleasant things usually are. If you are looking for a mellow and pleasant cup of tea that is smooth and easy without being harsh on the stomach or nerves or, alternately, putting you to sleep, I recommend giving this honeybush tea a try.
Absolutely love this tea! Have had other brands of honeybush but they're not as flavorful as Numi. Getting a box of 100 seemed a little overwhelming at first & I almost bought the set of 3 boxes of 18 for the same $. Boy! I'm so glad I didn't! I'm so happy with the quality and freshness of the tea I received; normally I purchase loose tea. However, it has been convenient to use bags w/this type of tea; I use them for hot tea, ice tea and to mix with other teas! I happen to love the taste of honeybush, however the one negative is the way it's harvested from the bushes creates tiny pieces, this can be difficult w/ loose tea as it floats through the infuser regardless of how small the holes are; with a tea bag you don't have that problem.
Numi produces quality products for a very reasonable price; especially when purchasing the 1 lb loose tea bag in some of their blends. in the others; this 100 tea bag ct is an awesome deal!! You simply can't go wrong!
OMG, this tea tastes SO good! I did some research on honeybush tea. Apparently it's a cousin of the rooibos bush/plant and grows in the same region of South Africa. However, I tried rooibos tea a few years ago and didn't like it at all. Then again, I didn't like Earl Grey back then, but I like it a lot now. (Not as much as I LOVE Twinings' Lady Grey, though.)
I've been trying to place that flavor, though. It's a little bit sweet but I don't let that stop me from putting cream and sugar in it. I just use less sugar in it. For me, the flavor is reminiscent of sassafras tea. I'm old enough to remember drinking sassafras, which itself always tasted like root beer with no fizz. Anyway, I'm a big fan of this tea now. I first tried it a few weeks ago from the Numi Collection sampler. I think I'm about 70% teatotaler now!
This is one of my all-time favorite teas. I can't drink much caffeine any more. Black chai used to be my ultimate favorite so when I had to cut it out of my diet completely for over a year I first discovered rooibos tea as having the closest warm earthiness any herbal tea had compared to black tea. Then there's the question of the chai spices. Numi's blend is by far the best of any pre-made herbal chai blend I've tasted. This tea is an absolute staple for me now. Love it!
Best moroccan mint tea I've ever got, outside of Morocco. Its awesome if you brew on a stove with 75% rice milk or coconut milk and only 25% or less water (so its thick & more creamy), then add some honey. :) My toddlers love this in the morning too.

The blend of rooibos, vanilla and chocolate give a rich, velvety, earthy flavour to this tea. I appreciate Numi is not going with the trendy nylon tea sachets. An inorganic material that I do not wish to heat up and drink! Same with GMO corn like other tea companies are using for tea bags. The ingredients in this Numi tea are organic and the cocoa is certified fair trade, this makes me feel good about purchasing Numi and their business practices all while getting great taste.
I’m a bit of a chai snob and this one is off the charts!! AND it’s organic!
I’ve spent time in India and tried every chai readily available in the US I would guess and none compare to the full bodied and yet clean experience of this chai. I ALWAYS have this chai in my cupboard. (and a back up somewhere!)
Edit: I intended this review for the Numi “Golden” Chai but the Rooibos Chai is my other favorite, plus all the benefits of Rooibos! (And this one I can’t find at my local health food store... only online).
I admit it. I don't like Rooibos. I hate it. I love a lot of different teas, especially herbal, but rooibos is strange for me. It's very very earthy, dirty tasting with a subtle taste of something I can't put my finger on. However, everyone else in my family loves this tea, especially the teenager. I have to keep a 2-quart pitcher of chai tea in my fridge all the time. I'm concerned about the caffeine he consumes, so I bought this, because rooibos is herbal and doesn't have caffeine. Since he loves this tea so much, I bought this case.
100 count for the price. You cannot beat it. It came quickly. I didn't count all the packets but I assume they are all there. They are in individual envelopes and just thrown into a box. I didn't care because I was planning to keep them in a plastic container anyway and store them in the cabinet. But if you think they are coming in boxes like you get at the store, they are not, so plan to put them somewhere. It's great tea and each tea bag is sealed so I didn't care.
I've had rooibos that had a bit more body and flavor, but the advantage of having a truly organic product that you can trust, from a company that stands behind their claims, gives you peace of mind, you won't find elsewhere!
The flavor is pretty good. Not hating the price, either! Just seems that whenever the price comes down for a few weeks, I'm always short on money! I'd buy a lot more, when the price is lower otherwise. Maybe three boxes of 100 instead of just one. That's how much I love this tea! I'm on meds that ask you to avoid caffeine, and rooibos tastes like a tea, not like an herb. Not exactly like a good black or green tea, but close enough. I've used rooibos for a long time, anyway, because I like the flavor. Good, organic, specialty black and green teas are WAY above my budget! This tea makes me feel like I'm drinking something special, without the "special" price!
THIS REVIEW IS FOR Numi Organic Lemon Camomile Tea.
So... I don't like coffee, and liked tea OCCASIONALLY. I admit I am EXTREMELY particular ( taking the time to commend my husband for hanging in there for 16 yrs.!!😘), and would only drink it with tea AND honey. Winter arrives, and on a fluke, I made a cup of this stuff will attending a business meeting and being surrounded by coffee drinkers. With hot water and some measly sugar packets, I indulged in pure Bliss. Delicious, aromatic, and soothingly perfect, I purchased one 100ct. box, and am writing this review after buying another. Don't miss out on a good thing.
