I fill it with piping hot water and wrap it in a handmade hot water bottle cover and keep it in bed with me all night, and in the morning it is STILL WARM. I can't even tell you how much I love this, I have trouble keeping warm at night and this has been a lifesaver! The heat radiates out and keeps the whole bed warm, I have never have to deal with having just my feet be warm and the rest of me be chilly like when I've used rubber water bottles. I was going to knock a star off my review because when it came, when you opened the bottle a VERY strong acetone smell would come out, which is nasty as hell. HOWEVER the smell dissipated after a few uses, and now there is no trace of the smell at all. (It only stunk when you opened the bottle, when the top is sealed it doesn't smell at all)
Originally I was put off by the long shipping time and how much higher the price is compared to other bottles, but guys. GUYS. It is so worth it. I can't recommend it highly enough. I am definitely going to be buying this again, and for any of my friends and family who complain of the cold. I also love how tough it is, I don't have to worry about accidentally bursting it like with my rubber water bottles, this is the kind of purchase that will last you a lifetime.
This thing is amazing. I put boiling water in it and over 4 hours later it was still too hot to touch. You don't put it next to your skin, you put it under your covers until you are ready to get into bed. Remove it or at least move it over. After many hours it will be okay to put next to your skin but I was amazed how long it stayed hot. Very good product. Simple is best.
The best hot water bottle you can get. I place this on the stove and bring the water to a boil--though, as a warning, this shouldn't be done and can cause serious burns if you happen to touch the bare steel while sleeping! However, I like my apartment cold (as in, 45-50 degrees at night), and this thing keeps my bed extremely toasty all night long and well, well into the morning.
This is awesome! It feels sturdy, and it works great! I made a simple cover for it and in addition to being a great way to warm my bed, I use it during the day under my computer table! I fill it like I would for bed, then set it by my feet on the floor and throw a blanket over my legs and feet. Viola: a small, gentle, personal heater! I agree with the top reviewer: I love this thing!
Arrived in two days with a cover and extra gasket. If you fill this up with boiling hot water, it surely stays very warm overnight. However, I use lower temperature water to avoid moderate temperature burn. Still it will stay somewhat warm though. No leaks as long as using the gasket.

The best thing to happen to me. I ordered it right before I got sick and it’s been my best friend. Does not come with a cover but an over sized bandana tied just right does well.
Works very well but needs a cover or it is too hot, especially with boiling water. I made one out of an old terry cloth, towel doubled and sewn.
They are sooo warm, great for New England!
I needed a way to keep my cat warm. You fill hot water into this container and wrap a towel around it (no burns) and it keeps warm for 12 hours.
This product exceeded all of my expectations. If it came with a cover I would give it ten stars. I fill it with water and heat it directly on my stove. It is built like a TANK. Comes with a spare gasket which is nice. A garden hose washer may also work, but I have not verified it yet. Used it for several nights here in Maine and have no complaints except I wish the company would also sell a cover for it. I ordered two, and one has not arrived yet (it is late), but it is a GREAT product. Would buy again. It would make a great sleeping bag heater for winter camping trips.
