Sac Magique is the name in Quebec. My wife brought two of these down from Quebec when she moved here. She swears by these things for folks that need heat someplace on their body. They are filled with grain and heat up quickly in the microware. They really work for those that require long lasting heat (many many hours). Hers were probably 20 years old and were certainly worn out, as they sometims leaked burned grain out of the worn areas. I found these by searching for the French name and finally purchased a few for her Christmas. They are really neat devices and recommended.

The Magic bag is the one to go with. It's super comfortable, it stays warm for a long time and I like that it's big and covers more area.
I play a lot of sports and use this for muscle aches and menstrual issues. This bag works really well for heat, but doesn't retain cold as well. (For cold, I recommend frozen peas :P). This is the second bag I have bought for a friend. I still have my original from 10+ years ago. :) Highly recommended.
Great to sooth soreness. Also like to use it in the winter to warm up cold feet when getting in bed.
