Lumex RJ4405R Walkabout Four-Wheel Imperial Rollator with Contoured Backbar, Burgundy

While I really like this walker, enough to order it a second time, I wanted to let people know that as of right now the information about the walker is incorrect. The first time I ordered this walker, the walker I received was rated for 500 pounds and had a wire basket under the seat. This time the walker I received, with the same model number, is rated for 450 pounds and has a canvas bag under the seat. For me, the weight rating is acceptable and the I like the canvas bag better because the wire basket scratched the paint on the walker, but for someone else, the inaccuracies might make a difference.

I have not yet used the new walker, but I can tell you that the old walker I received was a workhorse. I have used and abused it and it has stood up to everything for, I believe, 7 years. It is actually still in great shape. The only reason I am replacing it is that I have damaged one of the wheels and replacing the set of 2 wheels would cost me almost what a new walker would cost. It made sense to just replace it.

The new walker isn't made of as heavy materials as the old walker, hence the lighter weight restriction, but it looks like it will work for me.

Loved it came not as pictured...looked at all outlets for a pouch to replace basket, but it came with under seat pouch!!What is it used for? dumb question - it is a walker. Ordered it specifically for the wider seat, but actual overall width was not listed and we have several doorways it just fits thru with an inch of clearance, and a couple it does not fit. Folds a little thicker than old walker, too thick for 'behind the seat' in our car, but in trunk is fine. Good brakes & good seat!

This is a GREAT walker. I've had mine for about 5yrs or more. I am only ordering another one because is couldn't find a replacement wheel. (Would LOVE it if they had replacement parts for this walker, but it is a GREAT walker any way.)
. Note: your insurance or Medicare may cover this under "Durable Medical Equipment" ... my AARP medicare is allowing me to purchase this on amazon at this GREATLY reduced cost and submitting a claim myself. (20% co-pay)

I wanted a rollator that was easy to lift in and out of car yet capable of high weight capacity. After using this for a while, it has gotten increasingly hard to open and close. I have to lay it down on the ground to make it collapse and use extra strength to open it back up again. It didn't do this for the first few weeks so don't know why it is doing this now. If it didn't do this, it would be perfect.

Heavy duty, well made, easy to open and close, comfortable to sit on, a godsend for my mobility. I had priced a similar bariatric walker at 270.00 and was thrilled to find this one for only 125.00! The rollator is about 90% assembled. It took me about 30 minutes to attach the handles and backrest and make the height adjustments, no tools needed. Even has a basket under my the seat. Can't wait to go all the places I couldn't before!

Overweight and bad knees - a lot of difficulty walking and worse, just standing for any length of time. I usually use a cane but knew I needed more! My first time out with the rollator was on a cruise to Bermuda. Used the cane on the ship but took the rollator ashore. What a difference! It was fantastic! Unlike the cane, my weight was evenly distributed and walking so much easier. The best part though, is that I could sit whenever I needed instead of frantically looking for benches, etc. Worked great on the beach too! This device will change my life- haven't been to the mall in years because shopping was sheer torture - could only spend a few minutes looking for something or inspecting something before I needed to sit - this will solve that problem. I am so happy with it and glad I bought it.

I like this walker but quickly realized it doesn't fit through my 30" wide bedroom door. I moved the rear wheels and brake to the inside of chassis and it fits now. Great walker very wide seat and built strong.

I love my new rollator. It allows me to walk and exercise, while providing a place to stop and sit when needed. The quality is great, and it has the added features of a basket under the seat to put my rain wear and keys as well as brakes to brace myself, should I need it to remain stable. If it wasn't for this product, I would not be able to walk on our local rail trail. As a result of being able to exercise with this, I am feeling better and losing some weight, and not feeling dizzy or in pain when I need to stop and sit.

This rolling walker is great! My father-in-law is on O2, 24/7. He has COPD and can get winded easily if he is exerting himself on his walks. He's a big guy: 6'2", 260lbs and this walker is up anything he can dish out. The handles are just right for his height at the highest setting, the seat is nice and wide but it is also a little higher than a chair so he can get up from a seated position easily. The basket is large enough to hold his oxygen tank. The brakes work great, push down on the lower grip to lock the rear wheels or squeeze them like bicycle handbrake levers for fine brake control. The only drawback may be that it doesn't fold quite small enough for a full-sized car trunk; the handles need to be removed for it to fit.

I bought this for my husband and he is delighted to have some mobility back. He has severe diabetes and has been recovering from ankle joint fusion for over a year. Some days are more difficult for him to get around and this rollator gives him enough support and security to get around on the bad days. The seat is hard which makes it uncomfortable for longer stretches of sitting but for the occasional need to sit down quickly this works extremely well. On the plus side, the seat on this model is nice and wide and the height of the rollator is great for his 6' 3" frame. As usual, I can't say enough good things about making a purchase through Amazon---never been let down or disappointed by their customer service---ever!
