If you haven't tried this product, you really should! It is great for sunburn and cuts healing time dramatically. Use an old t-shirt to bed if you are going to put it on thick on sunburn though, as it will stain. A light application and you usually won't have problems though. It is so worth keeping an old t-shirt handy though, just to use for this as the product is one of those that really, REALLY works!
Over a life time I have tried nearly everything for my dermatitis/eczema. Many products seem to have positive results for a while. This Lucas Papaw ointment has cleared up my rashes in 2 days where no prescription or over-the-counter medications have been nearly as beneficial. As of this date I am an advocate of Lucas' Papaw Ointment.
Love it! It came in a big tub too, so I cleaned out some chapstick tubes and scoop it in the tube, put it in fridge for a little bit. Viola! Bunch of these awesome lip balm. They keep winter chappy lips away. I also apply it and use a cloth to exfoliate my lips, lipstick looks and stays longer on my lips.
First thing you should do as a consumer after taking reviews into consideration, is look on the company website. Go to their website and read their "Letter to our customers" it explains why they use PHARMACEUTICAL GRADE Petroleum Jelly as their CARRIER for a CONCENTRATED and PROPER amount of Papaya that has been fermented and essentially UNSAFE to put directly on the skin.... do your research and EDUCATE YOURSELVES before you bash a product saying its "just hyped up Vaseline." I have insanely dry and CONFIRMED sensitive skin by a dermatologist and I currently have wind burn on my lips and hands from cleaning and i like to run in the cold during the winter. I put this on 3 times and I immediately felt RELIEF. Also, read how to use this too... Read some comments about people breaking out because they used it as a moisturizer... I mean do you really put petroleum jelly on your face like that? Of course it's going to clog your pours... Any who, GREAT PRODUCT!!! BUY BUY BUY
This generous tub of ointment is great for burns, cuts, scrapes, blemishes, lip balm, hand moisture, cuticle softening, heel softening, and even a great make up primer (in very light layer). I love this. I bring it camping and I use the tube as a lip balm. It is fully organic and food based, and natural. Used on chemical burn and it soothed the area instantly. Used on a pretty big scrape across the chest falling down a boulder and it is a nice salve for keeping out germs. I think it's also slightly antibacterial. Love it!
My only criticism is that it is slightly expensive.

I bought this to help keep my lips from getting too chapped in the winter. They get so dry and chapped that they peel and bleed and it's incredibly painful and definitely not cute. I get very self conscious about it. In 2 days my lips went from feeling dry and ashy and awful to being fully moisturized. I will never go withough this again and it's much bigger than I expected it to be.
This is my second time ordering Papaw ointment and I am officially a customer for life. I started with the smaller tube and knew I needed to get my hands on more. I put this stuff on everything: pimples, cuts, burns, dry skin, irritated skin. It doesn't have any kind of smell to it which I really like; makes it easy to get my SO to use it without complaint. It's an awesome product and I highly recommend it.
I don't know how this works, but it worked! I had rash by my lips and chin area and I tried quite a bit of stuff, even expensive department store products, but this cleared it up. I'm very pleased with this product and will always keep it in my house. Thank you.
I can't remember how I stumbled upon this wonderful ointment, but I'm SO glad that I did! I'm 33 and have been having hormonal issues, which lead to my face breaking out and then drying out to the point it felt like sand-paper. So bizarre. I've used up nearly an entire jar and am coming back for more. It has helped my acne on the very dry areas of my face, which is pretty much everywhere but my forehead. It seems to draw out the blemishes, but then they heal almost right away. So thank you Australia! And Amazon for letting us order it here in the states. I imagine it will be a good all-around salve as well, but I wanted to share as I have tried every product under the sun, and most don't have visible results so quickly.
At first I wasn't sure that I cared much for this ointment. It is easily as thick, or thicker, than petroleum jelly. But I started using it on scrapes and for dry, cracked skin (Arizona - it's a dry heat in summer and just plain dry in the winter). It protected, soothed and healed scrapes, small cuts and scratches and made my dry, cracked fingers soft again. Don't want to be without so going to order another container tomorrow.
