At first, I had the problem many have reported of the case doing a spontaneous reset with even just minor handling. It turns out that the problem is with the three batteries losing contact. Even a momentary interruption in the circuit will cause a reset.
When you open the case you will see two parallel embossed lines opposite the batteries. These are intended to hold the batteries securely in place. The problem is that on some cases these do not keep the batteries secure enough.
SOLUTION: Find a rubber band whose width is slightly less than the space between the embossments and whose thickness is slightly more than the embossments' height. Cut off a length slightly greater than the length of the embossments. Attach this to the space between the them. You can use glue but I recommend using a strip of two-sided Scotch tape trimmed to the appropriate shape. Now just close the case securely. You shouldn't have any more problems with the case resetting itself.
BTW: The manufacturer might want to consider applying this to all the cases.

UPDATE: It's been several weeks now since I made the above adaptation and the case's performance has been rock solid in spite of generally careless handling.

UPDATE 2: Going on three months now and still no problem whatsoever.

I read many of the reviews before purchasing this device to address my wife's need for four-daily Parkinson's pills. The most basic review is that IT WORKS. Would I like improvements, yes, but it does what we need.

Improvements desirable
1) Pill box lids more transparent. Now they are translucent and in dimmer light one can miss if there are still pills present.
2) Option for more than three groups of buzzes. Now if you should be out of earshot during the 10 minutes it goes off you will miss the reminder. It would be great to be able to choose many more repetitions.
3) Choice of sounds. My wife fixates on the annoying buzzer. Once she's turned it off she has sometimes neglected to take the pills. A little speaker with some choice of sounds would be ideal to address this.

I realize I'm probably suggesting a more expensive device. I'd be willing to pay more for these improvements.

Batteries included, I was able to set this up right out of the box. It was very easy to set up and had clear instructions. I like that you can have any combination of buzzer and alarm to suite your situation. I also like that it is incredibly easy to turn individual alarms on and off independent of one another, while remembering the times for the following day. Just need to remember to switch the alarms back on if you require them again.

I bought this pill box timer to keep me on track for my upcoming holiday. I have tried it out for two weeks to make sure it performs okay before I go. It does exactly what it says and I am very happy with my purchase.

We got this for my father, who needs to take pills four times a day and is starting to have memory problems, which made that very difficult. This unit has solved that problem very neatly, so much so in fact that when my sister admired it he gave her his and we had to get him another one! The only drawback is the price, which does seem a little steep for what you get. It is not a large enough unit to hold all the pills an older person often needs, but that was not a problem in our case; my Dad already had a nice holder in which he could set out the days' pills, he just needed a portable, easy-to-use (he's also pretty technophobic) reminder system. If need be, it can also hold his most essential pills, e.g. if he is going to be out for a long period of time.

I bought this for my husband who has to take many pills a day. We tried another brand first, but it was total junk. This one isn't too difficult to set. It's loud enough, unlike the previous brand, and the vibration is strong and works great. We both love this one and my husband is lost without it. I ordered a second one to have on hand in case he loses this one or something happens to it. Well worth the money.

I so like the e-pill Organizer,it took me a little time to figure how to set it up.. I guess I was looking for a conformation saying I had done it right.
After I thought I had it set up correctly I took it for a test run, hooray it worked.
I only use for one time in the afternoon same time every day, you can set other time also after it goes off it resets it's self for the same time the next day. I does work as advertised. I like it !!!!!!

Simple to operate. Compact. I take 6 pills in the AM and it holds them all, depending on the size. Would give it a higher rating, but pill compartments close with the same plastic flap as most pill boxes, so in a crowded purse, the compartments may come open. I have had to dump my purse to retrieve a couple doses that fell out.

I love this product, only design flaw is the battery you do have to put something inside the case to hold the small batteries in place or the clock will stop...I tried the rubber band trick and that didn't hold so I just added a few pieces of tape...I would have given it 5 stars if not for that small flaw.

This Pill Box Organizer is great. I just put my prescription meds in the holders every night before bed and it's all set. This is so easy to set up. I got a second one that is harder to set up so haven't done it. Plus, all the batteries come with this one which was great. I have mine set on Vibrate and it definitely gets your attention even when I'm asleep. I put it under my pillow and it vibrates so loud, it wakes me up. The rest of the time, I keep it in my pocket. It's a great unit and so easy to use. I highly recommend it.

I bought this because it was hard to remember to remind my husband to take his pills. This baby does the trick. Just load it up each day and cancel the reminders on your phone, computer, etc. It is easy to set up, but do look at the directions any way. You need to remove the battery protector in the back and there is a little trick to saving the times. Remembers times day after day after day!
