These are just amazing. You normally get them when you are in the hospital. I had one from a hospital stay and was using it recently and it finally popped a whole. I was so happy to be able to find them on Amazon. To be able to fill them with crushed ice and not have to worry about a towel or them sweating on you. These would be great to keep in a first aide kit as well. They came nicely wrapped.
Received 2 of these types of ice packs from surgical center where I had my foot surgery done and about 2 weeks of me bringing back and forth to work it sprung a leak. Decided to see if Amazon carried and yep there they were. Only reason not 5 stars I just wish would not melt so quickly. Anyway to make the ice stay like ice longer in these would be a wonderful improvement.
These were given to me at the hospital after knee surgery. They stay cold for at least 8 hours. When the ice starts to melt, the water does NOT seep out. 3 months later, they were starting to look a little dingy. So, I used my clay cold packs, but they got warm too quickly. I purchased these because they are a superior re-usable ice pack, even if they are a little pricey.
Best ice packs because they DO NOT SWEAT. I have been able to use one bag over and over as long as I don't tie it on too hard. The cold comes through at just the right temperature -- very comfortable and ice doesn't melt quickly. Highly recommended.
I add crushed ice, stick it under the faucet to wet the cloth exterior. This way the body heat is wicked away in a very short time making my skin and joints cold to the touch. This will really reduce swelling in short order. I go through physical therapy 3 times a day for an elbow and swelling was an issue until I went back to this old fashioned ice bag routine. My modern no-mess jell freezes in the freezer were just not doing it. I could not get the daily swelling down after my therapy without this ice bag.

Ordered these after my sister was in the hospital and she had used them after a surgery. I thought they would be great to use when I have a migraine and they have been a lifesaver. They do not leak and keep ice cold for a long time. I like the ties on it to keep it in place, much better than the baggy of ice I was using before.

Bought this for my sister who is a quadriplegic and uses this for pain she gets in her upper back. They work perfectly. I showed them to the nursing homeand now they are going to order them for her.
