I am somewhat new to tea. I have been drinking Chamomile Tea for a little while now, but I just started getting into Green Tea because of all the benefits. I love the taste of tea. I'm not really a coffee drinker.
This box is at a very good cost to tea ratio. What I mean by that is, you get high quality tea for a good price. Most tea in this quality range will cost double this price I believe. Anyways, it has a great assortment for any occasion. The box feels well made, even though it's thin cardboard. They took their time making these teas and it really shows. Great little starter box to see which tea you like best. Right now, I like them all. Just tried Earl Grey Tea for the first time and I think it's a close first place for it. I really like it. Instructions are on back of each packet as well. Grab one box today and try them out!!
I'm easily influenced by television, lol. As a huge fan of The Mentalist, I noticed that Patrick Jane would often order lapsang souchon. As a tea drinker myself I was curious as to what kind of tea it was and I ordered a box. I have to say that I was pleasantly surprised. This is definitely a hug in a mug. When I first received the package I just smelled it. It smells very earthy and very fragrant. The smokiness of the leaves is very apparent. Upon my first cup I fell in love with it. This is a tea drinker's tea. It's seductive and unique. The smoked leaves are not just in the smell. This is something sophisticated and complex, yet at the same time refreshing and comfortable. This isn't just tea; it's a little break from the stresses of the day. I'll certainly be buying more of this.
*in Oprah voice* I LOVE THIS TEA!
Taylors of Harrogate Green Tea with Jasmine has quickly become one of my favorite boxed teas. I received a box via Prime samples and have bought 3 boxes since then. I really love this stuff! The flavor feels light but tastes full. I'm not a fan of jasmine-flavored things but this tea has a sweet and light floral flavor I love. Also, I have a fondness for large mugs but only need 1 bag (at a 2min steep) for my 12oz mugs. Normally I need 2 so it's nice to save money. And speaking of which, this tea is SO AFFORDABLE! Right now it's less than $4 and Taylors' seem to always have a 20% off coupon on here. You can't beat that price especially for their quality! I digress. I'm so happy I found this tea and will continue to drink it unless they change it somehow.
This makes fantastic iced tea as well. I've been trying to find an iced tea that comes out clear without much hassle. Lipton, Luzianne, Tetley - all these teas are a bit finicky when trying to brew just right. On occasion if you overbrew you get a cloudy, mucky mess of a tea. And I like my iced tea to be clear as highly polished amber. This one is so hard to mess up. I use four bags in a pyrex measuring cup. I can walk away from it while it's steeping. Somewhere after 6 minutes or so I check on it. Then I pour it over ice. I've tried to take pictures of how it looks, but it's frosting the pitcher so it's hard to tell how nice it looks. I know people might be like, who cares how it looks? But often cloudy tea has a horrible taste to it. Very bitter.
This also tastes great. It has a nice sharp flavor to it without being too much. I found I had to get used to it, the first couple of glasses I was expecting the more mellow taste of more basic iced teas. Once I did get used to the change, I will not go back. This is my new iced tea!
The packaging design is lovely, simple, and functional. The bags are individually wrapped in packets larger than the average tea bag packet (didn't fit in my tea box. But the box it came in worked great) which have helpful descriptions of the flavor, preparation, and recomended additions for the tea within. I've tried every flavor except Earl Grey (I typically don't enjoy Earl Grey) and really liked all but the green tea jasmine. However, I don't like green tea or jasmine, so that is no fault of the manufacturer. If you like jasmine, the fragrance of that tea is spot on!
The most delightful discovery with this tea assortment was the citrus tea. I happened to be drinking it with a couple Nilla wafers and found that a tea-dipped Nilla wafer tasted like an upscale Fruit Loop 😁
I would absolutely recommend this for individual use or for entertaining. It's a great resource for offering an assortment of teas to a guest without overwhelming selection or bulky storage. Good buy.

Description
Fresh, clean flavor, makes a soothing infusion of peppermint leaves
This arrived as a larger box than I expected for 20 tea bags, but it's a thick, elegant package with a fun design inside that made it quite fun to open. The tea bags are individually wrapped inside, clearly labeled with type and brand, in a sealed bag that ensures freshness for a long time. If I don't drink it all first.
I tend to use stronger tea bags through the day, adding more boiling water to keep sipping until either the day's done or the flavor's gone. (I know, I know, this is criminal and not a proper cuppa. I just can't stand to throw out a tea bag until all the flavor's drawn out of it.) The second cup today was as strong and flavorful as the first, with neither of them having the bitterness that some strong teas have. My ideal is sugar and milk, but cutting calories means I drank it straight today - the taste was lovely, bold, and didn't have a rough aftertaste.
I just enjoyed my first cup of this tea, and I'm pleasantly surprised. At first glance, the tea looked cheap. The plastic covering sealing the box had copious amounts of tea dust between it and the box. The tea bags are the cheapest out there and the tea itself is pretty finely cut. I've had earl grey from metal tins and pretty tea bags that tasted sub parr, so I expected the worst. I put one bag into my thermos of hot water and left it in there, till I drank the last drop. Happily, the tea never became bitter during consumption and it has a pleasant, more lemon flavor than bergamot. I use loose leaf tea at home, but this is now my new favorite "work" tea.
Delicious, light tea! Love the box so much; it could honestly be a simple gift for a tea-lover. Great little pouches for the bags and the flavor is quite nice and a bit fragrant, perfect with a bit of honey. My only issue is the way the strings are "embedded" in the teabags, requiring you to pull them out to be able to steep. My first one, I accidentally tore the whole top of the bag off lol. I had to retie the bag so it would steep without the leaves leaking, but it worked out. The second time, I think I pulled from the wrong end, so the part with the tag was still close to the bag. Rather than steep the tag as well, I just (carefully!) pulled the whole string out. Everything about the packaging of the teas is gorgeous, but I'm still not sure how to pull out the string without mangling the bag haha
Three years ago when the coffeemaker belched its last, I decided to reclaim the counter space and find an alternative breakfast beverage. I wanted to avoid a load of caffeine, but didn’t want to sacrifice flavor to do it. After much trial and error, this Scottish Breakfast Tea was the answer.
With two teabags, I can make a 40 oz. pot of tea that is strong enough to stand up to half-and-half, yet doesn’t get bitter if left overnight. It also retains its fresh flavor after heating in the microwave – a trick coffee has never learned. I enjoy the malty taste, and though it says it was originally developed for soft water, it does just fine in my very hard water. For the best flavor, start with cold fresh water and bring it to a full boil before pouring over the bags. There is some science to that which I won’t go into here, but it does make a difference.
If I could choose just one hot beverage in my life, it would be Taylor’s Scottish Breakfast Tea with half-and-half.
The Taylors of Harrogate Classic Tea Variety Box arrived and I could not be more excited. The bags of tea were organized nicely and placed in their own compartment within the black Taylors' box. The effect is classy and elegant.
There are 6 bags for each blend with a total of 48 tea bags. In the top row from left to right: English Breakfast Tea, Earl Grey Tea, Lemon & Orange Tea, Decaffeinated Breakfast Tea. In the bottom row: Assam Tea, Organic Peppermint(caffeine-free), Organic Chamomile(caffeine-free), Green Tea with Jasmine.
Each blend of tea produces a different flavor depending on which you choose. I place one tea bag into a tea cup. I prefer to use a tea kettle to heat my water to boiling. Then I pour the hot water over the tea bag and let the tea steep for five minutes. I discard the used tea bag and then add a splash of cream or milk to my tea. Now my tea is ready to sip and tastes wonderful.
