I purchased the Nitro HD Rollator by Drive Medical on May 17, 2018. The free delivery was supposed to be between 5/21 an 5/23, it was delivered on 5/19/18. The unit comes fully assembled, including the wheels and brakes. It appears very well made and solid. I got the HD model with a max weight of 450 pounds. I weigh 320 pounds. But I bought it primarily for the wide seat. My wide hips easily fit between the main supports. And it fits through the doors in my house without having to collapse it. The seat and back support are not cushioned. They are more like an expensive, high quality lawn chair. They are very comfortable despite having no cushions.
I bought a heavy duty rollator called the Mighty Mack last year. It is well built and will hold up to 600 pounds. But it is too bulky to get in my car, either the trunk or back seat, even when collapsed. And my car is a large Chrysler sedan. So I keep the Mighty Mack in the garage and only use it when I am working in the yard. By comparison, the Nitro HD collapses well enough to fit in the trunk or back seat.
I made a mistake buying the Mighty Mack first. If you are looking for a heavy duty rollator that is comfortable, collapses easily, fits easily in the car and has support handles that can be adjusted without tools, go for the Nitro HD. If you are small, I would recommend the regular Nitro rollator.
A wonderful walker. Big wheels roll right over train tracks, cracks in sidewalks and bumpy yellow pads on curb cuts. Folds up with one hand. Very comfortable with great back support. If you or someone you care about needs a walker, be aware that these are very important features for using it effectively.
I first got a Comodita Heavy Duty and found it lacking in construction (big heavy welds all over and one leg that did not sit on ground) Then I ordered this. Yes, it is more money but worth it. This rollator is strong and sturdy. No slipping out from under you. I am a large person (250lbs) but the rollators for 300lb seemed so flimsy and unsteady. This one is steady as a rock. Wider seat and a backrest that adjusts makes it comfortable to sit for long periods. It did not go through the doors of my old vacation cabin, BUT you can pull up on the seat handle and partially fold it while still putting weight on bars and it held wonderfully Went right through doors and halls, then pushed seat down to reopen and lock. I am a 74 year old woman, and while It is a couple lbs heavier than the Comodita it has a big advantage of just pulling up seat handle with one hand to close instead of leaning over, pulling up braces with two hands that my PT said was a dangerous action, makes it worth the extra $. While a hardy beast, and not "lady like"..... it is slick and well made. First trip took me over some rough gravel and up hill....NO problem. I could have bought a lighter weight one with lower weight limit, but I want to be safe and have something I am not afraid to use. This is it for me..../Only sightly negative is I am 5'7" and handles could be an inch lower but that is my choice because I wanted the larger rollator....it works. Thus my 5 stars.
Very well built euro style walker. Easy to open and close. Easy adjust arms with a push button - no removable knobs to lose. This model is built for tall people as the seat height is 23.5” tall, 3” taller than the non Heavy Duty model. I’m am 5’8” tall, and when sitting in this rollator, my feet barely touch the ground. The seat and back rest are very comfortable. This unit is collapsible from side to side by an easy pull up on the handle in the middle of the seat. This allows to rollator to push through narrow doorways and hallways, and is a much better option than the units that close up from front to back. Rollator locks closed when collapsed for easy stowage. This rollator is more expensive than most, but a Cadillac model that will surely be appreciated. I am so glad I bought this model. Well thought out design! Thanks Drive Medical and Amazon for offering this unit on Prime. Got it in 2 days for the best price on the internet.
this rollator is really heavy duty,I have taken it on gravel and rocky trails that were steep and I felt secure. It does fine in malls and stores,it is quite heavy and takes some effort to load it in the back of SUV, But because of all the pluses I will put up with its weight. In the pictures it shows a red thing that holds it together when folded,but mine didn't have it, and I thought I could do without it. I now wish it had been included.as being held together would facilitate loading. Other than this issue it is perfect.

I really don’t know what to say about this product. Let me see...hmmmmh...it’s the best purchase I have ever made!!! My senior citizen mother loves it...I love it...my family loves it. We are stopped all the time with people asking where we purchased the rollator from. I’ve opened up the website several times to give people who are interested the information. Highly recommend this rollator. It’s light so I am able to lift it up and place in my trunk area with ease. It collapses very nicely and lays flat in my trunk area. Yes it’s a little wider than the rollators Mom has had in the past. We’ve even had to open 2 doors at a time so she could enter the premises...who cares, she just had a Queen’s grand entry!!! With all seriousness, our first day of use we were in grassy terrain and walking across uneven paths. This rollator conquered it all...and Mom was pleased. Yes, it’s a lot more expensive than the average rollator, but we have to pay for quality and QUALITY is what we got. Now I need to find a wheelchair made by the same company. Please direct me to such a product if it is available. I want to get rid of (donate) the dinasour wheelchairs that are collecting in my garage.
Fantastic product. Enabled me to go on family vacation and sit whenever I got tired. Strong and sturdy it is good for smooth and uneven surfaces.
I love it...I'm 5'10 270lb guy....I'm disabled. Spinal cord injury....Its durable, and heavy duty like its says...its easy to maneuver while your walking on sidewalk, dirt roads, and grass.. The seat is about 23 inches from the ground. The handles are adjustable the lowest setting is 35 inches from the ground. The highest is 40 inches from the ground. Its quick and easy to fold up and light enough so my wife to put it in our tahoe. I would recommend this for any one who needs a rollator....👍👍👍
This rollator and walker combination is a good heavy duty device that aids me getting around and gives me a place to sit when I need it. The wheels are big enough to go over cracks in a sidewalk or parking lot without catching and stopping me from moving.
