BulkSupplements CLEAN Whey Protein Powder (1

BulkSupplements CLEAN Whey Protein Powder (1 Kilogram)

BulkSupplements CLEAN Whey Protein Powder (1 Kilogram)

Love that there is no taste to this protein powder, so you can literally create whatever flavor you want! I don't like having to sip on shakes for meals or snacks, so I use this to make protein bars! The neutral flavor means I can make sweet or savory bars and I make creative flavors every time! Here's a recipe if you want to try them...

For my bars, I use:
~ 3 to 4 tbls Vitafiber Syrup (VitaFiber IMO Syrup, 2.64 lb., 28.4 fl. oz.)
~ Sometimes I add a 1/2 tsp of flavors (Lorann Oils Bakery Emulsion Bundle, Red Velvet Princess Cake Cream Cheese Pumpkin, 4 Fluid Ounce) or even flavored water concentrates! (For savory options, try a scoop of Marmite, curry paste, bullion cube, etc.)

Then I microwave this liquid for 2 minutes on power level 4

While heating the syrup, I mix:
~ 5 tbls of BulkSupplements CLEAN Whey Protein Powder *this product* if I am adding flavor or just choose a flavored protein you like
~ 1 tbls coconut flour
~ A few "chunks" of something yummy (For Sweet, this could be butter cookies, yogurt raisins, fiber one fruit snacks, etc. or for savory maybe add some chucked chicken, jerky sticks, nuts, crackers, whatever you want!)

When the hot syrup is ready out of the microwave, I then mix the powder into the liquid until mixed well. I spoon the mixture into silicone bar pans (Freshware SL-113RD 9-Cavity Narrow Silicone Mold for Soap, Cake, Bread, Cupcake, Cheesecake, Cornbread, Muffin, Brownie, and More) and refrigerate for as little as a half an hour and they are ready to eat!

See pics for more ideas! The unlabeled pics are "Garlic Onion Chicken Bars" and "Blueberry Muffin Bars" and a "Chia, Nuts & Seeds Blend Bar".

I love this protein powder and the creative freedom it allows me to still be healthy without eating the same boring flavors. It is also a smooth powder that is never chunky and (to me) is plain enough to be a "clean slate" for new flavors! But just beware that if you try it, you'll probably never go back to flavored proteins again! Hope this is helpful - please click if it was!

I've ordered this whey protein several times and I will continue to re-order. It's simple and clean with no added fillers or flavors. It mixes fairly easily in a shaker bottle, but you will get a better, smoother, result with a mixer bottle or a blender. There is pretty much no flavor; I mix it with water and it just tastes like water. It will change the consistency of water to be more like milk, so it is strange at first that it just tastes like whatever you put it in instead of like milk.

I have mixed it with powdered sugar before, which gives it a sweetness, but I prefer to drink it in just plain water.

I'm on a journey--striving to go from very unfit to super-fit (reach for the stars, right)? I've chosen to try keto and weightlifting as my primary tools for this journey. A lot of keto food preparation calls for whey powder (one of my favorite bread recipe uses it). It can be difficult to find unflavored whey powder in brick-and-mortar stores, and so it's great to find the BulkSupplements version easily available, online, for such a reasonable price. Believe me, I did hours of research and comparison shopping before I bought this. It works well in my keto recipes and it doesn't have a distinctive aroma or taste as some whey powders do. You get an enormous bag for the price! I highly recommend this product! I also believe in the integrity of this company. You know how you just trust some brands more than others? This is one of those brands.

I bought this over the flavored protein powders because I wanted more versatility with my protein consumption. Not everything can taste like chocolate.

I incorporate a spoonful or two of this into my multigrain porridge to start my day. It makes it a little creamy and the nuttiness of the grains help mask the flavor of the powder. I don't necessarily enjoy the flavor of this, but it can work well with others. I recently put this into a pina colada inspired shake and it made the drink super creamy and thick. In the past, I used it to make fruit smoothies but I found that it took much fruit to mask the protein flavor, especially since the flavors are not complementary.

However, since it is essentially unflavored, I like to mix it into miscellaneous meals on days I haven't been able to take in a lot of protein. I don't use it to bulk, just enough to supplement an already balanced diet to accommodate the healing process after lifting.

Great product, use it daily. Have bought the 44lb bags twice now. Consistency seemed slightly different between the two bags but nothing to be alarmed about. Doesn't mix great in a shaker cup but now that I have started using it in a blender, it mixes well. I also add to my oatmeal and it works as a great protein boost but it did make my oatmeal taste like cheese. A little cocoa powder added to the mix fixed that. Price can't be beat, will never go back to buying the containers of the expensive stuff. Bulk Supplements have great products and also buy ginseng from them.

So in my opinion, protein is protein and if you put a good effort into your workout. Any basic protein is all that's needed. I don't buy into the hype of those extra "additives" others put into their product and the claims they make about what they can do.

The price point is what I look for when choosing a protein. I'm always looking into buying in bulk. This stuff seems to hit the nail on the head. The price per kilo is great. I chose 5 kg of their 80% clean whey. Price per pound is about $8.45. Not to bad. In my order I received five 1kg bags. I was kinda disappointed at first because I was expecting a huge bag, but the small bags are actually a better packaging idea since it ensures the product will stay fresh. The packaging itself is very simple. My guess is they use the same bags for most of their products they sell in that size. They info label is very simple as well, but is only because this protein is very simple in ingredients.

The protein itself is very fine and mixes well when stirred thoroughly, but If shaken it will come out very airy. Clumps of protein aren't really a problem if preparation is taken when mixing. So take your time mix to ensure a clump free shake. The taste is not the greatest, but you have to remember that there's only two ingredients. It's possible to take it solo, but mixing with something else doesn't hurt.

Overall I'm pleased with the protein. It's hits most (90%) of the things I'm looking for. It gets 4 stars only due to the bag having a very cheap single zip seal. Due to the powder being fine. The zip seal will tend to get clogged and prevent a seal. May a double zip seal is in order. Other than that I sure when it's time to re-supply, bulk supplement is what I'll get.

I bought the clean whey protein and didn't expect it to be as good as it is. I was very surprised. I mixed it with one scoop of instant coffee and it was great. I also mixed the BulkSupplements BCAA powder with the whey. My daughter, who is in the military and competes in jiu-jitsu tried it with a scoop of chocolate and has found a whey that she loves. You now have two customers that will continue to use the products.
There is no taste so use your imagination. I'll mix it with pancakes, oatmeal, or mashed potatoes.

I've been a customer of BulkSupplements for the longest time and never had any issues. This last shipment of whey, however, tasted differently than usual and did not mix at all (even in a blender)! Customer service was helpful and told me that this could be due to a supplier transition and offered to replace the unopened products. The thing is that I had ordered 5 big packs and opened 4 of them to see if they all had the same "issue" so I ended up getting stuck with them.

TL;DR: BulkSupplements is a great company but this product is hit or miss. I'll continue buying products from this company - just not whey proteins.

Works great. Just a note to the folks who were griping about flavor- it’s “unflavored” not “flavorless” so it basically tastes like powdered milk- so toss it into anything you want to add a slight creaminess to. I’m pleased with how easily it mixes- I add it to a mason jar with my coffee every morning as a breakfast supplement. Provides a filling quick meal on the go. And no clumps! You don’t even need one of those wire metal balls. Someone complained about a lack of scooper but there’s directions on the side for how many tbs to use, so a scoop didn’t seem necessary. I will buy this product again

Was delivered fast. I would definitely buy this product again.

I bought this whey protein to use in my morning protein shake which consists of 8 oz. almond milk, 1-2 tsp. of unsweetened cocoa powder, a dash of cinnamon, 1 tsp. of turmeric, 1-2 Tbs. of fiber powder, 3 ice cubes and 1/2 cup of bran flakes. In the past I have used NOW Foods unflavored whey protein isolate, and I like that product a lot. The Bulk Supplements CLEAN whey protein tastes fine and dissolves well in almond milk. I'd bought 10 lbs of Myprotein Impact whey protein awhile back and it had an unpleasant (to me) dairy flavor. The bulk supplements protein had no unpleasant flavors and was virtually identical in flavor to the NOW Foods product, but at a better price.

The only slight negative is the packaging. While I like the convenience of the 1 kilogram packets, when you open them, it is easy to spill protein powder all over the place.
