Incontinency is a frustrating situation for everyone. For those bedridden; however, finding the best solution to keep your skin as clean and dry as possible is even more challenging. Urine and feces will eat through your skin quickly causing skin breakdown. Pressure sores are not only painful but can be life-threatening once sepsis sets in. Once my elderly husband’s indwelling catheter was removed, this became a major concern due to the constant high volume of urine which an ordinary brief didn’t seem to handle to my satisfaction. The sheath, or “Texas catheter”, wasn’t a viable option. My research lead me to the reusable portable Advantage Urinal Systems’ Close Fit. I can't say enough positive things about this urinal. My dad is 80 years old and it has helped my parents tremendously. He suffers from Parkinson's and it is very hard to get him up and down. I hope it helps your family as much as it has helped mine.
This works SO much better than the BARDIA that used to be shipped. The exit tube is thicker, so it takes less time to empty. The bag is sturdier, too. I've used this product for a couple of years.
Since my husband is unable to walk without assistance, the comfort male urinal has been a lifesaver for both of us. Without getting too personal, the CLOSE FIT urinal is even more of a lifesaver. I will be ordering another to have as a "spare".
He has been using the regular comfort male urinal for over two years. Note: we replace the urinal every three to four months. Orginally, I ordered the comfort male urinal for him to use only at night. Works great! So much less mess than your standard bed urinal. Plus it holds 2000ml, like a 1/2 gallon of liquid. It's like having a detachable catheter. Make sure you empty and clean it with dish soap after each night use. You don't want your bedroom smelling like a zoo.

A wonderful product! My dad is elderly, suffering from knee issue, frequent nocturnal urination (3 to 6 times per night ),and recent recipient of a pace maker. Though he’s able to walk with a walker, fitting the walker through a bathroom door can be difficult, this caused him undue stress and literally 10 minutes of trying to catch his breath, then fall back asleep maybe a total of 20 minutes for a bathroom trip nd recovery. A good night sleep when someone you care for is struggling in the next room to get in and out of the bathroom is painfully minimum. Last recorded average sleep before the catheter just under 3 hours a night. Though the urination is frequent, there is no labored breathing and rattling of a walker in the early morning hour. Dad seems very pleased with the product. He feels confident, uses 1/2 less the incontinence product if not less, is less likely to fall with trips to the bathroom. Overall a great product, would be great if there were replacement 2 liter catchment bags. Clean once a day I don’t know if there’s a way to dry it out. It gets a 4 out of 5 stars at the moment. We decided to try these for my husband, who is a quadriplegic, when he sleeps so that he does not have to wear a diaper all the time. The diapers were causing rashes. He sleeps completely on his side because he cannot swallow and that keeps him from choking, so we are able to prop the urinal up and brace it so it stays in place (for the most part). We do have times when it gets shifted, but this has helped him a lot. We use this when he naps in the afternoon and all night. Since we are using it so much, the bags start to leak on us after about a month of use. I empty and wash them out twice a day. They wear out where the bag bends to reinsert the tube. We are on our 4th one since September. Overall they are great for what they are intended.
Perfect for my husband's anatomy and output. Definitely superior to the standard urinal bottle for men who are mostly confined to bed. We disinfect the entire system daily and have not noticed any odor. The bag clips attach easily to the metal bed frame. The system worked perfectly for three months until the bag sprang a leak which cannot be repaired. We have ordered a new system however, developers should endeavor to develop a longer lasting bag or system components which are replaceable and interchangeable .
Great for men on strong diuretics. Convenient to use.
It is wonderful. They are much better than the ones we had been getting from the medical supply store.
