Worth every penny! I have to crush my fathers meds 4 times a day. I started with a hand held metal crusher (effective) but it wrecked my hand and wrist. I've seen the Silent Knight products at various skilled nursing facilities so I looked more closely at it and decide to invest in one. It's amazing. It works so well. It's easy on my hands and crushes pills much finer. I do recommend using the silent knight pouches as well. They don't get holes and your can easily get the meds out (less residue on the sides). I'm very happy with this and would highly recommend this and the pouches.
This pill crusher is amazing. It works VERY well. We have been using it for just over a week now. It takes about 30 seconds and zero effort to crush a handful of medium sized tablets into powder that blends VERY well in to pudding or applesauce, etc. A fine residue does stick to the inside of the pouch, but the powedery residue that sticks is so very fine that I don't think any significant amount of medication is lost.
This is the updated version of the pill crusher that they were using in the transitional care facility while my mother had a short stay there and I loved theirs. SO much easier than the plastic twisting ones they used at the hospital prior to the transitional care facility. If you are crushing pills daily, then I think it is worth the investment in something to save you time, hassle and sore wrists & fingers.
works great for crushing pills for my husband. I have tried all kinds of smaller pill crushers and they were either too hard for me to use because of my stiff hands or they didn't crush them enough. the Silent Knight is both easy to use and does excellent job crushing pills. I have one large pill that I crush 1st and then add others.
My mom has issues with taking her meds. This is so easy to use it allows her to crush them herself with very little mess or waste.
Just had gastric sleeve so everything has to be crushed. This made it really convenient and well worth the money!
