I had my last corn bag for years, until it literally fell apart! In my opinion corn is the superior grain to use in these bags, and this paticular brand does not disappoint. It's medium size, the cover is well made and washable, stays heated for quite some time.
I bought this corn bag to use to help relieve muscle tension in my shoulders and neck. It turned out to be a little to bulky for me to use in that capacity. I ended up buying a different corn bag for my shoulders. This corn bag still gets used everyday. I use it on my lower back to relieve muscle tension and it works great. During recent bought of influenza, I also discovered the corn bags work so much better at chasing away chills when bed ridden than the electric blanket. The heat radiates better. I like the fact you can curl around the corn bag when you are cold. My feet always seem to be cold so when I crawl in bed, I use this corn bag at my feet. The nice thing about it is I can move it around and target the areas that seem to be the coldest. Once the chill is gone, I push the corn bag down towards the bottom of the bed just enough so I can still feel some of the heat. I can't sleep if I am cold and because these corn bags are actually warming me up quicker than an electric blanket, I find I am falling asleep quicker and sleeping better.
So, I have several physical conditions that can get painful, especially when sleeping. I wanted something that would be easy to use, and NOT require electricity while sleeping. I got this wonderful microwave heating pad (which can ALSO be frozen for cold use), and tried it when it got here. I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE it. Heats up in a couple of minutes even an slower microwave, and last for about 1/2 hour - plenty of time for me to get to sleep. Plus the little owls on the cover are so darn cute. The seller is excellent as well - everything got here quickly and was well protected. Would definitely recommend!
I was so happy to find these on Amazon ! I was given 2 home made corn bags over 20 years ago and was ready to replace them. The Caylee's Creations are even better than the beloved originals. The corn filling hold the heat so well and is a comfortable weight that stays in place better than others microwave heating pads The removable cover is a necessity for something like this that us used frequently.I've never used mine for cold applications but may try it if I have room in my freezer. I love this heating pad. It gets warm and stays warm for 20 minutes. Don't be fooled by how it feels when you take it out of the microwave thinking it didn't get hot enough. Put it on the affected area before warming it more. Best part, I don't have to be stuck to an electric outlet to use it!

Sure, it smells like popcorn once it's heated up, but it's perfect for our kid's bed since it goes along her torso. The material is a good, thick material and the sleeve is removable so you can wash it.
I used this when I had an ear ache to relieve pressure from my ear and it retained its heat for a long time given that I only warmed it up for two minutes.
We also have one of the square ones that has thinner material but can get slightly uncomfortable after the full 3 minutes unless you're a heat hog like my wife and youngest kid.
This thing is wonderful. It is about twice the size of my old one from 10+ years ago, and I love the larger size. They also fill it with a lot of feed, so it will hold the heat/cold for quite a while. It is also double bagged for protection as well as to allow washing the outer cover if needed.
The only thing I have against it is due to the larger size it will only hold high heat for a few mins. It is warm for a long time, but only hot for a short time (short for me at least). This makes it more difficult to get the heat deep into large muscles, though a quick refresh in the microwave fixes that right up.
I own a couple microwave heating pads and this one out shines them all. It's a perfect size and I love that it's filled with corn. It heats up faster and holds the heat much better than rice filled pads. I highly recommend this heating pad!!
I got a corn bag about 25 years ago at a craft fair and it was the best 5 bucks I ever spent. I wanted to make one for my daughter for Xmas so she’d stop stealing mine and while searching for the corn, I ran across these so purchased instead. Great design with the removable and washable cover! Description doesn’t say the fabric is flannel but it is. My husband started stealing mine a few weeks ago, so I got him one, too! Great on a cold night for warming your feet in bed or whenever you just can’t shake a chill. Great for period cramps, too. Pretty much a great item all around. These are well made...highly recommend!
This was a great purchase! I haven't tried using it for cooling yet, but for heat, it is awesome. I have had many of these types of things over the years, and this one seems to be the sturdiest. I love that the cover is washable, too. I would highly recommend it to anyone!
