All in all, I have to say we are very happy with this purchase. The ultimate praise I can give is that every night my Dad says "What would I ever do without this?". It looks good when inserted into the bed and feels solid.
But there are two things I want people to know:
1) I did not receive any instructions to assemble this in the box. To be honest, it is so simple to assemble that just the picture on the product box was all I needed to put it together. From box to bed took about 20 minutes for me. Very simple.
2) When fully inserted into the bed, it seems it causes the mattress to lift up by about a 1/4". Trust me, this is nothing big. It won't affect the functionality at all. It all looks fine...the functionality far exceeds this little nit-pick.
So absolutely, works as advertised, it feels solid and looks great. 5-Stars all the way.
Product is well made and serves its purpose well. My mom uses it to help her get up out of bed following a remarkable recovery from a stroke at age 89. Note that the product description needs a little help. The minimum height for the part that rests on the box springs/under the mattress is 16 inches. At that height, with the mattress, the bed is a bit too high for my mom. The product is quality, but I took off a star for the lack of information that would have been nice to have up front. A modification to lower the minimum height isn't straightforward, but I can (and will) work something out that isn't too hillbilly and more importantly, retains the strength and and functionality required.
I'm very happy with this bed rail. I bought it for my mom and it is very sturdy and the cushioning around the handle is great to keep her from slipping when pulling herself up (not to mention comfortable to grip). I had previously purchased a different product for my dad and this product is far superior. It was easy to assemble. It also comes with a pouch you can attach to the bed rail which would be really handy for various items someone wants to keep in close reach during the night. My mom is not using that as of yet, but it is nice to have when she does decide she needs it.
Love it. Fell out of bed three times before I purchased it. Adjustable to any bed and any height. Sturdy. Also aids in getting out of bed but is small enough not to interfere.
This was incredible to have when I came home from spinal fusion surgery. I’m still needing to use it after two months. It stays put and doesn’t slip or slide. This is a must for anyone needing help with turning or getting out of your bed.

I was happy when I opened this package as the product was wrapped in plastic inside the shipping box. The bedrail was easy to assemble & it was exactly what I needed. I was able to adjust the height to fit the support bar between the box spring & the mattress & also adjust the height of the handrail.
Very nice for what it's intended. It goes far enough up under the mattress that it won't pull out -- at least for a small to medium size person.
Very pleased.

I ordered this bed rail for an older adult who had fallen out of bed a few times. It was wide enough to keep him from slipping off the edge of the bed while at the same time being narrow enough for him to still be able to get into and out of bed on his own. Product was very easy to assemble and quite sturdy.
Fits wonderfully! I was worried about how the bed would feel for my father since it looked like it lifts the mattress a bit but he absolutely loves it! It makes getting out of bed a breeze! His OT loves it as well
