I love this glass. Its really hard to find a magnifying glass this strong. Usually, they are maybe 2x with a tiny speck that is 5x, 10x, 15x etc within the larger piece of glass. This one however, the entire glass is 10x....yay!!! Also, it is actually very pretty with a beautiful wood handle....I decided to just leave it on my coffee table with the other pretty things in a decorative tray.
I was actually looking for a larger glass than this one, but for the price and it being real glass, I went with this one. It seems to be a nice magnifier, a little light weight for a metal rim, I had to look closer, thinking at first it was plastic. The handle is plastic, but so far has held up. I bought two of these and one of them had a small chip in the edge of the glass which I found out too late to return it, one of the downfalls of real glass.
I wanted a magnifying glass for tiny print on batteries and small components. Having this item on hand is easier than putting on glasses for a 3 second look at something. The handle is a little cheap but I don't think it will be a problem.
With Macular Degeneration, I need all the help I can get. This is the first 10x magnifying glass of this size I have found. I like it very much, it's been helpful. I wish there one of 15x magnification of this size, that would even better.

Wow, did I ever need this! I am 75 years old, and I could not read tiny print on anything anymore. I use it almost every single day for something. This 10X magnifier is SO superior to a 3X or 5X magnifier!
