Recently I sprained my ankle and went out to buy an ACE Bandage. I found that stores such as Walmart, Target and CVS no longer carry the ACE brand. They carry their own store brand which is as thin as a piece of toilet paper and won't even last for two uses. So I saw this new "Black Ace Bandage" on Amazon and for only 6 bucks I though I would give it a try. It's absolutely great. Its thick and durable and I've been wearing it daily for almost a month, and I'm very happy. The thickness adds extra paddling on the bottom of my sprained ankle.
The new clasp is a little tricky. You have to slide the bandage in then turn it over and snap it closed. Then the other end is Velcro.
I just purchased another one just to have it in case. Highly recommend, stay away from store brands!
The quality youve come to expect from the brand Ace. The clip works AWESOME! I wish they would have come up with this fastening method when I was young! This is a must have in a household full of athletes or childRen who are prone to injury. Tha k you Ace for a quality prodict. By the way, you should have offered different color bands years ago!
My mother has had lymph-edema all of her life. She only likes to use the ACE brand bandages because they will hold up to multiple uses and washing by hand in cold water. She uses them for the times when her leg swells so much it won't fit into the compression garments she usually wears. I have searched everywhere locally to find the Ace brand 6-inch bandages, and most of the time I can't find them. There are plenty of the off brand bandages in the local stores, but no 6-inch Ace brand bandages to be found I was extremely happy when I found them on Amazon . My days of calling every pharmacy in town are over. Thanks Amazon and Ace!
This Bandage was bigger than I expected I love it!!!! I have trouble with varicose veins on my legs. My feet and ankles swell. Ace bandages are perfect when you have a certain amount of swelling,When you don't want to wear Jobst support hose. I get tired of support hose yes they work but I like using ACE
for minor compression issues. I have been using Ace bandages for years. I have never used the clips,they don't stay on however bobby pins or diaper pins work great!!! I prefer diaper pins could not find any lately. I just found out Amazon sells them. Boy I am a happy camper now!!!!
These bandages work and they are large enough to use on your chest. Would not buy any other brand too cheap LOVE ACE!!!!
The clip is awesome!! I used this everyday for months on my knee under a brace. I needed a high quality bandage to control major swelling and keep a brace from rubbing. The bandage is high quality and the clip is high quality. With the clip it is possible to wrap a large area because you do not need to worry about the pinchers poking your skin. I have washed the bandage (hang dry) many times and it is still in good shape.

Works as expected. I still can't understand why the local drug store doesn't carry these. I had to refer to them as "old fashioned" ace bandages. Didn't think these were a thing of the past but I didn't want the sticky tapes offered locally.
I am happily surprised by the Velcro like attachment device. I thought it was more of a gimmick when I bought this but it still is working well. The elastic material is not as comfortable as my older traditional ACE bandage. This newer material is 'scratchier' and tends to bunch up into uncomfortable ridges. If it were not for this I would have rated it as a 5.
There is a reason ACE is a genericized trademark for these types of "bandages". They truly are the best elastic bandages on the market. My one complaint would be that they don't make super long bandages which would help when icing your torso (lower-back). But they are so strong that it makes up for the lack of length. I need to use 2 ACE Bandages for my lower-back but they hold the ice in place so well you never have to worry about it slipping. I don't like the clips that come with the bandages and prefer to just tuck the bandage under itself to hold it in place.
It is worth spending a little extra money to get the real thing. I highly recommend ACE Bandages!!!
These bandages have come a long way from what they were 30 years ago. The material is strong good quality , the color is universal , so it matches with anything you might be wearing . The clip system it incorporates is 1000% better than the old style cheap aluminum claw clips that came with the old bandages .
These are awesome and work very well. Love not having those little sharp things to deal with. The clips in these Ace Bandages simply attach to the fabric and the other end velcro's to the other end of the fabric. Makes it much easier fastening when your doing it by yourself.
