Little smaller size then I thought it would be. Nice product. See soda can for size reference.
As others have noted, you definitely do not receive this packaged as a "gift set," the items are basically tossed in an extremely large bubble mailer. I have issue with this being sold as a "gift set" for the sheer reason that I found it listed as a baby registry item- I would not want to send this directly to anyone out-of-state and imagine it being "opened" at a baby shower. If you just want to try the items yourself, or have the time or desire to repackage the items to actually give as a gift, it's a pretty cute set for an expectant mom or anyone else. It would definitely come in handy if I was a frequent traveler, as even the largest of the six items (Milk & Honey Body Lotion, 1 oz) is TSA friendly; though I do not see an ounce package covering much of the average body, it works well as a hand cream and will replace the current lotion in my purse. There are two different cleansers, (Soap Bark & Chamomile deep cleansing cream, 0.75 oz and Intense Hydration cream cleanser with Clary Sage, 0.75 oz) which both did the job and only had slight pleasant scents that did not linger. There is a smaller lotion with the same scent (Intense Hydration day lotion with Clary Sage, 0.25 oz) that is a nice complement to the cleanser, if you were hypothetically purchasing any of these items in a full size. My favorite items were the Shea Butter hand repair cream (0.49 oz) which is thick, as is anything with shea butter, but perfect for slathering all over my hands then going to bed- I was pleasantly surprised how smooth my hands felt. Repaired, even. Similarly I loved the scent and results of the Coconut Foot Cream (0.75 oz) and is the item in the set I will probably purchase full sized. For $10 it is a great way to try some great products and either find a new item you can't live without, package as a small gift or use as stocking stuffers, or use as a much nicer version of the typical drug store brand travel sized cleansers/lotions at about the same price. Or all of the above!
At almost 60 years old I got cracked fingers for the first time ever- first one thumb, and about four weeks later the other. I tried everything I could think of- triple antibiotic ointment, tea tree oil, tamanu oil, jojoba oil. Nothing worked. While browsing Amazon one day I ran across this Hand Repair Set from Burt's Bees. From the very first night I'd applied it my thumbs felt better. Within a couple days the pain was gone, and within a week they were healed completely. I don't know what's in this stuff, but I'm a believer: for cracked fingers it's GREAT!
I purchased the Burt's Bees Hand Repair Kit on February 23, 2016.
The items I received were in as shown in the (current as of the date of this review) photo, a sturdy and pretty drawstring bag containing:
1. Burt's Bees Lemon Butter Cuticle Creme - 0.60oz/17g,
2. Burt's Bees Almond Milk Beeswax Hand Creme - 2oz/57g, (this is a full size jar)
3. Burt's Bees Shea Butter Hand Repair Creme - 0.49oz/14g, and
4. 1 pair Cotton Gloves.
I did not receive an instruction booklet or the Burt's Bees Beeswax & Banana Hand Crème as I had expected and was the whole reason I ordered this kit. I already have and am a huge fan of Burt's Bees Almond Milk Beeswax Hand Creme. Burt's Bees Almond Milk Beeswax Hand Creme is very thick and rich and it smells amazing, I was just hoping for something to trade off with.
I am very sensitive to 99.9% of soaps available, and the use of many feels like I am being eaten alive. With extremely frequent handwashing in addition to dish soap my hands are regularly so dry, red and irritated that the skin in between my fingers becomes very raw and along with the backs of my hands and knuckles are so dry I have multiples of mini micro cracks similar to paper cuts that take several days to heal and my hands have a rough jagged leathery feel along with ridges and snags on the sides.
Use of regular lotion didn't help and was actually painful. I tried petroleum jelly in combination with lotions, without results, I switch to a version of lotion from Bath and Body Works that worked as long as I used it after every handwashing and even began using coconut oil which seemed to solve the problem before we moved to the desert but now if not enough because the desert climate is extremely dry and the city uses well water which is also very drying and my hands have gotten progressively worse. Until I found Burt's Bees Almond Milk Beeswax Hand Creme and have seen a big improvement. I received my order for the Burt's Bees Hand Repair Kit on February 27, 2016, and immediately tried some of the Burt's Bees Lemon Butter Cuticle Creme on one finger to test it out. I applied some of the Burt's Bees Shea Butter Hand Repair Creme to the back side of the hand most in need of repair and then added some Burt's Bees Almond Milk Beeswax Hand Creme from my jar I already had, then put on the gloves and took a nap for 4 hours. and Oh, My... Gawd.
(A). The Burt's Bees Lemon Butter Cuticle Creme is noticeably lemony to the point I would want to eat it if I could, but the small very tiny amount I put on the 1 finger made a noticeable difference. Epically huge...
(B). As for the Burt's Bees Shea Butter Hand Repair Creme, not a fan of the scent at all. it's sharp and reminds me of something on the tip of my tongue but I can't place it and don't like it. BUT... It's creamy, not greasy, and soaks in FAST.
(C). As I have already said I am a fan of Burt's Bees Almond Milk Beeswax Hand Creme, as it has an almond scent with a hint of cherry blossom, it is thick and creamy, but can have a lingering greasy feel if you apply to dry hands instead of wet hands and if you use more than a dab. But it lasts on my hands through repeated hand washings. so I was already in love.
(D). I am not sure if it was the combination of the Burt's Bees Shea Butter Hand Repair Creme and the Burt's Bees Almond Milk Beeswax Hand Creme at the same time in combination with the Cotton Gloves but the change in just a few hours is indescribable in the improvement level. I WILL BE getting MORE.... !!! I will see if I can try and update later to add photos
This product is absolutely amazing. I love everything about it. the healing cream and the gloves gives your day a soft feelings and it would be so noticeable when someone touches or shakes my hand. the gloves does not seem like something that will last forever haven't broken thus far TBH. The cream is not vegan and has milk, which is something I didn't notice myself until after I used it. I saw the picture of the cow, but did not really thing about it. It is not tested on animals though

I got this set, for snowy climate on vacation. The hand lotion feels a little sticky, and the foot lotion is very thick and gel-like. Nevertheless, all of the products kept my skin from cracking and drying out, and that's the main goal! So I am satisfied with this set.
I'm still using the Pom chapstick, in hot weather! It adds some color, and it does help lips from drying out. I enjoy using it.
*Interesting tip: If you usually suffer from chapped nose during severe colds, use the B.B. plain chapstick (no added color) around your nostrils after blowing your nose. It will keep them from cracking and blistering. This has been very helpful for me in the past.
The foot cream is amazing! I put it on at night and put socks on, otherwise it might get messy. Feet are much softer the next morning. Nothing has helped this well before. I also rubbed this into my dry hands and cracked knuckles and the next morning they are no longer cracked! So glad I found something that works. Haven't tried the other items yet, but felt compelled to write about the foot cream.
I love most of the burt's bees products in the travel size gift set. I especially like the baby oil, which smells really good and does an excellent job of nourishing baby's skin. I use it after every bath time. The shampoo, lotion and diaper cream are also pretty good. However, I found the soap to be harsh and not tear-free. My son cried really bad while washing his face with this soap. It is ok if you plan to use it for washing just their hands and feet and body but I wish it was tear-free as well.
I paid $12.68 for this product. I thought that it was a reasonable price for what you get. I think the cuticle cream smells good as well as the almond and milk hand cream. The only thing that doesn't smell good is the shea butter repair cream. So I would advice starting with that and ending with the better smelling products. It was a little self care gift for myself and I'm happy with it.
The Burt's Bees Hand Repair gift set is great! I purchased this set for myself because I have incredibly dry hands; they crack in the winter and are very rough and dry all year round. First, the Almond and Milk hand cream smells amazing. The lotion is thick and creamy but not greasy. It soaks into your skin and leaves them so soft and doesn't leave any type of residue. The Shea Butter Hand Repair Cream has a nice tart smell to it, I use it on my finger tips, because they're the most dry part of my hands and the Almond & Milk one on my palms. I then put the gloves on and sleep with them on. By morning my hands are as soft as silk! I rub the Lemon Butter Cuticle Cream into my cuticles a couple of times thru out the day and I think my nails are growing in stronger and thicker because of this. When I run out I will be buying more. I can't rave enough about this set! If you're on the fence about this product, try it out. You won't regret it!
