After a surgery last year my lips were wrecked from whatever in the heck they did to my mouth when putting me on the breathing tube. My lips were cracked, the corners of my mouth cracked and they were a total mess for MONTHS.
In a desperate attempt to finally get back to at least being able to eat without pain, I went to Walgreens and picked up every heavy duty type of lip cream/ointment or balm. O'Keefee's was one of the items I picked up.
Within a day of using this, my lips finally started healing up and the cracked corners began to mend. I finally could eat again without being in pain! I’m currently on Accutane, which causes incredibly dry skin and lips. This product is amazing for keeping my lips hydrated. Vaseline, chapstick, aquaphor do NOT compare. I’ll put this on my lips at bedtime and it’s still on in the morning. My husband likes it too, and he doesn’t usually use anything.
Saw a commercial for o'keefes lip repair and had to try it. Lips had been peeling and my chapstick just wasn't cutting it. Been using it about a week and I'd say it's a success! It's thicker than chapstick but doesn't feel like it's caked on. I'm a fan.

My lips were getting dry and cracking for several months. It got worse since I use a CPAP for sleeping. It got really painful to eat. I tried Chap Stick for a while and nothing happened. Then I started applying neosporin for a while and again nothing happened. I had been using the O'Keeffe's Feet Relief and it had been working on my feet. I really like these lip balms. I bought one for myself about 6 months ago and liked it so much that I bought some more to give to my family. This shape fits much better into tiny front pockets on jeans and also seems to fit better on my lips for more even coverage. Are you or do you have someone in your care requiring general anesthesia during surgery? The process of intubation of placing that tube in one's mouth could result in irritation of your loved one's lips. Removing the annoyance and distraction of irritated lips allows your loved one to better focus on healing.

I cannot live without this chapstick for my lips. I have tried all of the name brands (Carmex, Aquaphor -expensive!) and I can only seem to find this at Target so I decided since I use this religiously all day long (I work outside and have to protect my lips) I needed to buy a bulk pack and it’s cheaper to buy it on Amazon in this pack! Aquaphor worked great for a while then my lips wouldn’t stop peeling (this was new for me!) and nothing seemed to work... until I tried O’Keeffes. There’s no menthol in it to dry your lips out like other brands. I was used to a gel type of lip balm so it did take me a little while to get used to a wax type but now I love it and won’t use anything else!
