I haven't used this size packet but I have used Celox for a non-life-threatening, but serious cut. I sliced off the tip of a thumb and after bandages and pressure weren't stopping bleeding, my options were the ER or try Celox. I poured Celox from one of my smaller packets onto the gash and it pretty much immediately stopped the active bleeding. Days later I was able to rinse out most of the Celox, which had gelled, and pick out the last bits with tweezers. Never got any professional attention and it eventually healed up well. No infection or adverse affects from the Celox.
Now I keep Celox packets of multiple sizes in each of my 4 first aid/trauma kits. I hope I never need as much as there is in this packet, but I feel better having it.
Just having this product on hand gives you a totally different outlook on comfort. There is just not other product I would consider having in my car, at home, or with me when I go out chain sawing!
Thanks

Expiration date is longer than I anticipated, although I don’t remember the actual date, 2022 or 2023, it’s in my kit that I keep in my truck. I haven’t had to use it YET, and hopefully never will, but it’s nice to kno I have it just encase.
Lets hope I do not have to use. I have found to make a proper medical kit you must add all your own items other wise you get junk. Not this item it is a must for anyone who preps.
When one of our pets received a cut and bleed engulf to put the fear of God into Grandma and I, We pick up a couple packs of this product ourselves. Not two weeks latter I cut myself chopping veggies for my wife. Wile I felt it did not call for a trip to the ER, I was leaking good, real good. A clean rag, pressure and a dusting of Celox sealed me right up. great stuff, works when it counts. Don't know about scaring your skin, on my old hands it would be hard to tell if I had a new blemish.

This stuff isn't cheap but it is very awesome. Been building a basic trauma kit/ODK in a Condor Molle large utility accessory mag pouch so my kit has heavy use value and this is a seriously useful addition. I favor Celox over Quik Clot because it doesn't use heat in its reaction so there isn't adding burns to an already bad moment, it breaks down properly in the body so secondary issues don't come up if the med boys accidentally leave some in, and it doesn't have the risk of secondary clots in the body which could cause dangerous/deadly results. Don't get it in the eyes and don't breathe it in--yeah, that should be obvious but people put cats in their microwaves to dry off these days. Rotate this out by expiration date. It would probably last longer but the price over three years isn't so high that you can't replace it properly anyway.
After one of my co-workers' sister bled out at her workplace from a stabbing attack by a schiz. patient off meds at a fast food place, adding this to a kit I could take to work took a real life priority. It would be a wise addition to BOBs, work places, commuter kits, the main house first aid kit, etc. Better to never need it than to not have it when you do.
I paired this Celox with two Israeli pressure bandages (you can pick your favorite brand of pressure bandages these days, so awesome), SWAT T tourniquet, trauma shears/rescue hook, med. gloves, cpr mask, gauze, tape, etc. in the Condor pouch and now have a solid basic trauma oriented kit. I use a 5.11 pouch 10x6 horizontal for the regular first aid kit, and the Condor for this trauma kit, so I can grab either kit at need without having to waste time digging through a huge bag for the celox while someone bleeds out. But again, that's personal so do what you prefer.
So, in all, this is a worthy investment.
Military grade powder for stopping bleeding from very serious wounds. May you never have reason to use it, but if you do it’s good to have it.
I hope I never need this, but I have horses and ride in the mountains. I feel really good having this in my trailer.
I hope that I am never in a position to write and accurate worthy review!
Received just as advertised. I placed it in my first aid kit where it will reside until needed
