I just placed a second order of these glasses because I have a history of losing or breaking my readers. When these arrived this week I was prepared to open a box of cheaply made junk. Well they must be cheaply made, but they don't appear to be junk. In fact, they feel solid, have a bit of weight to them. It may turn out that they scratch easily and have to be replaced but at 12$ for 3 pair I'll order more. Plus, they remind me of my grandfathers glasses and retro is good.
Arrived quickly and feel very solid.
I use a 1.0 correction (these) when working on my computer and 1.75 for reading. For me, the fact that the style so different from your basic drugstore brand that it makes getting the two mixed up impossible.
The fact that they remind me of my dad is a big plus too
I bought these without much hope that they would be any good. In my experience very few "off-the-shelf" reading glasses are built well. These to my astonishment, are both. While you can get better reading glasses if you go to an optometrist and pay $100, the price here merits 5 stars. I have bought 4 pairs of these for use on my boat, bedside, out in my backyard where I often like to read, and other places. I save my expensive reading glasses for client meetings and the like.
I'll say it again: for the money, the quality of these glasses is amazing. If you are looking for reading glasses, I recommend you give these a try. I predict that like me, you will be pleasantly surprised. RJB.
These seem rather strong. Much better than more expensive drug store glasses. The lenses also seem to work better when compared to the same strength drug store models. How they hold up? I'll get back to you on that. The typical drug store glasses only last me around six weeks at best before they fall apart. Hopefully these will do at least that well or better
I have experimented with other brands of reading glasses but I consider these the best. I have about 12 pairs laying around the house, in the car, etc. They are well balanced. They are sturdy. They are easy to clean and they are a quality product. I really love these glasses. The only problem that I have is when I order the 3 pack, I do not get to specify the color that I want. I like the brown color better but the black is sharp too. It is just a personal preference on my part.

I have been purchasing reading glasses by the four pack at one of the warehouses for years.
This was my first Amazon purchase for reading glasses. The lenses are clearer and crisper and everything seems to be more defined. The style is why I chose them and they look good but I'm very happy with these glasses. I'm pretty rough with my glasses but I can repair. When I need more, I'm going to buy more of these.
Hear glasses are quite better than expected. They have a weight and feel of quality and durability. A closer inspection of the lens, hinges and screws reveal a nice tight fit and finish. I also find them to be comfortable to wear. They have a wonderful retro appearance. I have a pair of original made in Italy Ray Ban school boy glasses I purchased in 1988. They are an extremely close match. If you are searching for good solid readers at s very reasonable price, look no further. You have found them. Enjoy !!!
I lose my reading glasses all the time so I like to have inexpensive pairs that still look and feel like my prescription pair from the eye doctor. These glasses are perfect. I buy them in the three pack and this is my second set. They are well built and last a good long time.
While these are pretty close to the "retro" styling advertised, they leave a bit to be desired. The size is about 20% larger than gramp's glasses in the 70's... 60's, etc... there is no spring hinge so the pin holding these together is through the plastic bow... seems ok if you don't abuse, but i'm guessing that an evening in my suit pocket could wreck them. The are "ok" build quality & appear to have the right strength (1.25 for mine) Made in china and feel every part of it. Good, not great.
