My 1.5 year old actually had the beginnings of an ear infection and he had no troubles on the flight! Granted he really didn't like things in his ears and tried to pull them out, but I just kept my hands cupped over his ears and although frustrated he had no pain and didn't cry like the other babies on the plane! He was even told he was the best plane baby ever by a grandma of 18 grandkids!
They DO seems to work; I just tried them a week ago on an flight from USA to UK. Actually I wanted to try them on my trip, to see if they'd work for my dog.
When we ascended, I felt the pressure change & felt it in the Earplanes too--pretty cool! Same action when we descended. I fly a lot & can always feel the in-cabin pressure changes both in ears & face. Typically I don't feel actual pain in-flight, except one or two times in smaller planes. Then I'd get MAJOR FACE PAIN & POPPING. So, on this recent flight, I wore them & def. felt the valves in the Earplanes change pressure. It was kind of neat to sense the mild change from the Earplanes.
However, I really wanted to test them for my dog, when he flew overseas after me.
Sure wish #Earplanes had a K-9 version.
Few people, even Vets, think about dog's ears when flying. But K9 ear anatomy is just like ours except, dog's ear are even MORE SENSITIVE than adults, or even kids' ear canals. Dogs have a deeper/downward, outer-ear canal So anyway, I ordered them & looked at the size. They're a bit too small for dog's elongated canals. However, just consider SCREAMING INFANTS on flgihts? Their tiny ear canals feel pain much more, due to their narrower ear structures. So little kids & babies scream....As horrible as that is for both the babies, embarrased Moms & Dads in-flight...it's even more a pity for our K9 friends.
Dog's ears must be in TERRIBLE PAIN, when they're in flight & few of us even consider it!

After flying several times with our toddler, I thought I’d give these a try. They helped so much! She was complaining that her ears hurt but when we used these, she said she felt a lot better. She stopped crying and was able to relax finally. They really seem to help her with the pressure while flying.
I bought these earplugs for a 3 hour flight and they worked like a charm! I typically have uncomfortable ear popping throughout a flight (not just take off and landing) but these solved that problem. I put them in before take off and left them in the whole flight as I was just reading a book for the flight. My ears did not pop the whole entire flight which is a first! I know these are for children, but I have small ears so they were the perfect size and not uncomfortable at all. Will definitely purchase more for future flights!
These work great to adjust the air pressure when on an airplane. Ended up with ear issues when I did not clear my ears upon landing after an 11 hour flight. Now ear specialist says I need these for air travel. Wish they continued making the "infant" size as I have a small ear canal. Now they are making the "children" or "kids" size, which is somewhat too large for me and does not stay put properly during use. These are not for noise cancellation.

I have very tiny ears, so the normal ear planes tend to hurt. These felt great and did a great job. If the normal size hurts you, definitely give these a try.
BEST...INVENTION...EVER!!!!! My daughter has always had severe ear pain on descent when flying and moderate pain on ascent. This is with decongestant, antihistamine, and chewing gum, drinking, eating, sucking lollypops, anything to get her to swallow. I read about these and figured I had nothing to lose. No more pain. It's like a miracle. We started using them when she was maybe 8 years old. She's a teen now but we still use the child ones. The adult ones are too big and don't work as well for her. She's rather small so I suspect she'll always use the child size.
I don't fly without these, ever! I have tiny ears so I buy the kids size. I used to have terrible ear pain when taking off & landing. My ear wouldn't clear for days after a flight. These stopped all problems like magic.
These seemed to work really well for my 3 1/2 year old. We inserted them about 45 mins before landing and didn't take them out until the cabin doors opened. We travel a fair amount and this is the first trip he didn't cry or complain that his ears hurt. NOTE: We still told him to yawn ever few minutes.
I think this helped my 9 yr old equalize easier. He always had a problem when the plane starts going down. Like major crying and ear pain. I tried this product. 3x already and it was easier for him to equalize. Ears still get hurt but not as much as before I discovered this product. I'm not sure if it's psychological or real? But as long as it works, I'm very happy. Flying before this earplanes was very stressful. Will always use this product when we fly. 😀
