Great quality product. The material is comfortable and not abrasive. The large size is perfect for any injury and the small size is great to keep at my office during any flare ups at work. (Sunglasses in picture for size reference) and I love that it can be use for hot or cold! Customer service is unparalleled!
I used this as an ice pack for knee pain and a sprained ankle. After putting about 5 ice cubes and water in the bag, I applied it to my knee for a while. The material is soft and comfortable against the skin. It also holds the temperature for a while. After using it on my knee, I used it on my sore ankle. Then, I forgot about it. About an hour or so later, I picked it up and there was still ice inside the bag, so I iced my knee again.
This product works better than I expected.
I haven't tried it with hot water yet, so I can't speak to that, but I think it's great that it can also be used for that.
i've used this type of hot/cold pack through three shoulder surgeries and various other painful situations. I bought new ones because I gave my old one to a friend who was visiting and had a painfully damaged shoulder. Great price and outstanding product. Just put in crushed ice and then a bit of water. The medium sized pack is great. It is the perfect size for various aches and pains. I used it on my wrist as well as my knee and it was very comfortable the whole time. Maybe I'm the only one, but even with a Zip Lock I've had an unexpected sharp edge on the ice cube pierce the bag and leave it leaking. With the fabric on this re-usable compress, that's not something I'm worried about anymore. It's also a lot more comfortable to hold something like this from the built in cap without freezing your hand off.
I also love the form factor, while not displayed in the images, it comes packaged vertically (stretched straight up/down from the plastic lid) instead of outward in a circle like the pictures show. This means you are able to store it upright and have this compress take up minimal shelf space.
One potential drawback, I ordered the Large 11" size which fits perfectly in the arch of my back. However, I am pretty petite so I can imagine it might be small for anyone over 6'.
Ordered the large hot and cold compress. It's a really good size for those large injuries. Will be trying it on my aunts fractured foot that happened to her on New Years day to help with the swelling.
This bag is the perfect size to ice my shoulder. Here's what I like about it: 1) There is no need to put another barrier between the bag and my skin. 2) It's soft sides allow it to follow the curve of my shoulder. 3) It seems to be well-made/professional 4) The opening for the ice is large enough for a regular-size ice cube 5) There have been no leaks. 6) It's easy to open and close, even for arthritic fingers. I LOVE IT!
Finally an ice bag that’s big enough! I love that they can drape itself over my knee with ice or flatten out for my back. And after quite a few uses, it still isn’t leaking! Many of the patterned brands leak through the fabric. The fabric on these has held up very well.
I was an athletic trainer for 38 years. I can't believe I used plastic ice bags in my office all those years when this one works so well. It is very comfortable, does not form condensation or leak. Hole opening is a perfect size and after two months of daily use there is no evidence of smell or molds.
