This applicator is worth every penny. I'm struggling with an as-of-yet unidentified skin rash and it's a real challenge to apply medication and/or lotion to my back. I've been using it daily for 3 weeks for my back, shoulders... actually everywhere (arms, legs, chest, etc) because it's easy and efficient to use. The applicator portion does not absorb the product being used whether it's lotion or prescription cream, so there's no waste. I squeeze or pump the product onto the oval pad and spread it around with my finger, then use the applicator to apply the product to my body. The applicator pad is removable so I just pop it off and wash it with a pump of liquid hand soap, then put it back on the applicator handle. The applicator comes with three pads, and I expect the pads will last for a long time. I'm not sure what material is used for the pads, but I'd describe them as feeling similar to a Nerf football.... i.e. more firm than pliable and will not collapse. I'm so glad I found this product and I'd definitely recommend it.
When my plastic back applicator cracked and broke after only 3 months, I bought this one to replace it. I really love this one! The wooden handle is strong and lightweight, and the 'foam' pads are perfect in texture and durability. The pads hold my lotions without absorbing them, too. The handle is just the right length and width, and I'm glad it has a piece of silicone (?) embedded in it to secure one's grip. It's a good thing that I ordered the set that came w/ the 3 replacement pads because I know I'll be using it a long time! Am very pleased with this purchase!

This is a great item. I no longer have to ask for the assistance to put suntan oil, lotion, or sports cream on my back when needed. I also bought this item as a gift for two of my patients that live alone. It is almost impossible for them to reach their ankles and most definitely their back and now they can apply medication and lotion when needed. I also like the fact that you get several heads to the item so that you can use each one for a different lotion or oil. I just keep the used heads in a Ziploc bag with a label on it of what it is used for.
I used to have one of the roller ball lotion applicators. It fell apart so I had to find a new lotion applicator for my upper back. This one's pad works better than the roller (besides not breaking) because what you put on the pad is used...none is wasted or stuck in the little roller balls. I did purchase the applicator with the three replacement pads. In hindsight, the pads are very well made and the lotion does not absorb into the pad so I could have purchased the applicator with one pad and that would have worked perfectly.
Was traveling on my own for a beach vacation, and after learning my lesson the last couple times, I decided to find something to help with sunscreen application for my back. This worked perfectly. I was able to reach the unreachable spots on my back and apply the sunscreen as needed. It takes a little bit of effort to make sure that the lotion is absorbed into the skin (had to rub it in for a few more seconds than with hands), but it worked nevertheless and I knew this would happen going into the purchase anyway. I like that pad is non-absorbent and easy to wash. The handle has a slight curve to it and a soft rubber cover over where you hold it, which made it more comfortable to use. The applicator as a whole is well made out of quality products. I'm happy with this purchase and even happier that I didn't get a sunburn in the strong Cancun sun! Will be using it for sunscreen and lotion application purchases for as long as it lasts.

I love this lotion/cream applicator! I have rotator cuff tears and applying anything to my back can be painful. This solves that problem! The use one replacement pad for lotion, one for medication and still have one left. Bought for relatives also 😊
Love my back lotion applicator, since I have started having muscular issues recently with my shoulders, shoulder blades and neck I am going to physical therapy twice a week, and during the other days I use medicated cream on my back and neck and this tool works great. So glad I bought it.
I have no one to rub lotion on my back so this worked out great for me and the fact that it came with 3 extra pads was even nicer. All in all was a great find and the price was right.
I use this to put coconut oil on my back and it works great. Makes it a lot easier to get to the middle of your upper and lower back. Easy to clean and will probably last a while Fury comes with extra heads so I'm real happy with the purchase especially for the price that it was on Amazon. I just wish that I would have known about it years ago because I have a terrible itchy back when it comes to winter time. This is a much better option than the other type that would be more difficult to clean. I'm talking about the kind that is like one big long applicator which seems to me like it would be a lot more messy to deal with. By this when you'll be happy with it. At least that's my opinion and I'm sticking to it. Peace
This is my first lotion applicator and was a little skeptical about the concept. After reading a ton of reviews on all the types I decided to try this one. It really is amazing and works so well! I've used it with both lotions and creams and both are fine. I've used aloe vera gel too & it didn't drip or fall off. I'm really loving this product.
When you read reviews, you need details.. That's what I will try to do. The description says Sponge, but its a water proof rubber like sponge. So the lotion do not get absorbed into the head of the applicator, but stays so all the lotion will be able to be applied to your skin. It does have a nice long handle. You can use soap and water to wash it, or just a wet wipe to clean the applicator. If your lotion, or medicine you are applying is not thick, but runny, it may not stay b/c there is no grips, or grooves to hold the stuff in place. Your lotion ect, should be a thick viscosity and stay on the applicator when held upside down. Now once you have it on, applying it is easy and using the applicator does not feel uncomfortable or chaff your skin. Hope that helps.
