Oh man I had to look forever to find a decent magnifier with a light. I found 7 to try, and out of all those, this is the only one that I was happy with. And boy am I happy with it! I actually got the first one for my parents, to help them with their study Bible, but I liked it so much I got myself one, too.
The light is fantastic - bright, well-placed. It's light and comfortable to hold for any long periods. I searched all sorts of sizes and styles. I would have loved to find a good one that was full-page, but I didn't find any that magnified much. This is fairly strong and the lens is clear. I really only use the big lens, but I'll be glad to have the other one if I need it.
It also came with a decent bag that lets me toss it in my drawer to keep it close. It's nothing special, but very handy.

I was looking at other exchangeable-lens magnifiers which had more lens options, but was concerned that their high magnification lenses would be way to small. I ended up choosing this one mostly because had a large 5x magnifier. I am glad I did. The 5x is very large and of good quality. The 10x is kind of small, however, and I originally thought it would be essentially useless. It also has a lot of distortion (spherical aberration), as might be expected for such a short focal length, making the usable viewing are pretty small. However, I've ended up using it a lot for those hard to read labels on tiny electronic components, and am extremely happy to have it. I find this combination of lenses perfect fr what I need. The light works much better than I thought it would and greatly improves the usability of the magnifier. I was also concerned that the clips for the lens may not last, but it've been switching lenses quite a bit, and the clips seem sturdy and solid, and I suspect they will last long. All in all, very happy with the purchase.
I have a generic drug store reading magnifier, labeled 2X/4X, with the 4X lens embedded in the larger 2X lens. I wanted something stronger for looking at coins and bills, so I bought this set. The larger lens of this set magnifies to a slightly larger size than my 2x, when held at maximum distance for clarity. However, it is much lower magnification than the tiny 4X lens on my old reader lens.
The smaller lens in this new set is equal to the 4X lens of my older glass, when held at maximum distance for clarity. This does not appear to be the advertised 5X large lens, or 10X small lens. The smaller lens I really like, however, as it magnifies a far larger area than my little 4X bump on the drugstore reader. It will totally enlarge the full Federal Reserve System seal on a bill, plus some. It is definitely not as strong as my 10X loupe.
Both lenses are clear, and as distortion-free as it gets. You are going to get a lot of distortion the higher power you go, at the edges of a curved lens. I like the fact that you can exchange the lenses on the handle, although, it is not very easy to do, especially if you have older hands with joints that don't bend easily. If you put two small rubber bumper type nubs on a piece of ribbon to help squeeze the tabs in better, it's much easier to pull the lens out. The light works great, and the entire thing with large lens is not too heavy for old hands to hold comfortably. There is a ribbon on the battery for easy removal. One star less for not being the stated magnification, otherwise, a great product.
I bought the magnifying glass for my father and decided to try it out before giving it to him. I ended up keeping it because it's so useful. Even though I use readers, the 5X magnification helps me to read articles on my Kindle and my iPhone. The light is bright and does a good job illuminating the print. I'm buying another for Dad.
I purchased this magnifying glass for my mother who is 96 years old. She really likes it a lot. She is able to read the mail, etc. much easier with this. I have purchased other magnifying glasses in the past, however, they do not come close to this one. I would definitely recommend it. It came with two interchangeable magnifying glasses, a cleaning cloth and a nice pouch to keep it in. It lights up, which is very handy. The batteries were included, which is almost unheard of.

There is nothing I did not like about this magnifying glass . I got it for my 95-year-old mother who is legally blind . She is just thrilled because she reads voraciously and now it is lighter weight and has a bigger magnifying ability . Purchased this for my elderly dad. It works well, and the LED was a big help. The lens he used before did not have a light.
The large lens was more to my liking. Worked as advertised. I don't use the LED lights; because I don't use it in the dark. . Small lens did not give the field of view I wanted. Price included the bag and was worth ordering.
