I’ve had four hip surgeries in two years’ time, and am still limited in bending. So my reachers are an essential tool that allows me to dress myself, pick up things I drop, and even reach things that are just out of reach. The bolt on the end is very handy for rolling things over, scooting items, etc. The tip is magnetic, and can pick up a surprising amount of metal. The claws can pick up a dime or a pill, but the best feature, for me, is the trigger, which is shaped like a hook and allows the teacher to be secured to a walker. There’s a clip to do that, but I find the hook to be much more convenient.
These are the most fantastic grippers you can purchase. I was introduced to this type when I was going through PT and OT when I had back surgery several years ago and I am not able to bend. I have one in different rooms of the house and one by my office desk. I recommend the easy grip because the ones you purchase in retail Requires a strong grip to use them. If you have arthritis this gripper only requires a gentil touch to use. I love the multi use which includes a magnet on the end and various hooks to pick up items without gripping.
I used to have one of the grabbers that folded in half but I was a little rough on it and broke it :) so I ordered these as a replacement. They don't seem very sturdy and a small piece of twine/rope is what operates the mechanism so I guess only time will tell if they hold up! I will post an update for sure after having a chance to use them!
Love this reacher/grabber! Just had 2nd back reconstruction in 16 months & can't bend, reach, or twist. I tried other, cheaper reachers last year & they just don't work. These are the Best on the market! I now have 4 of them. 1 for upstairs, one for downstairs, 1 for when I go out anywhere & 1 for my mom's shore house. They are able to lift pretty wide things & fairly heavy (about 5+ lbs) things as well. I don't go anywhere without them!

These are great tools, The yellow clip (you can just see it in the picture) is for attaching to canes. Very convenient. Otherwise, they use the same flexible cord as everybody else. Expect it to stretch, but the little attachment used to take up the slack is very good.
comfortable handle, good reach but don't try to pull anything to heavy with the top post as the aluminum shat will pull out of the handle. My brother-in-law fixed mine with a pop rivet [something the manufacturer might want to consider].
I just had surgery and was not supposed to bend over so this came in handy to pick things up or move them. I bought the two pack and gave one to my father. He is 95 years old and this grabber is a huge help for him. I would recommend it for sure.

Great device. Paid for itself almost immediately, allowing me to recover a cable that had fallen behind my computer. I used the grabber to get the cable without hurting my damaged back!
