Douper Hot Water Bottles for Scapulohumeral Periarthritis Spine Pain Relievers U Shaped 1.5 Quart Blue

This is a very nice hot water bottle for anybody with neck or shoulder pain. It holds a quart and a half of water and stays hot for nearly an hour and warm for well over an hour.

It sure is a pleasure to hang this thing around my neck and have my hands free while using it. What an improvement over holding or propping a standard hot water bottle up. This feature, alone, has made quite a difference in how well I'm able to relax my neck and shoulders, making it more effective, by far. Relaxation can be just as important as heat or cooling.

I'm a small adult female and this bottle fits comfortably around my neck with some room to spare. It's flexible enough to move towards or away from your neck if needed, but also quite sturdy.

It weighs in at a little over 3 pounds when full, so if weight is an issue for you, you can put less water into it.

I also like that I can see through it so I can tell whether it's still wet or dry before storing it away until its next use.

I've only used it with hot water, but can imagine that this could be very nice with cold water on a hot day. If I remember, I'll update this when the weather warms up a bit.

The only thing I would change (and I didn't dock any stars for it, because this is minor, is not an actual failure, and is personal preference) would be to make the hole in the cap as big as the hole in the bottle. I like to put a small carabiner onto my hot water bottle to attach the cap to when not in use (so they both can be kept together) and the hole isn't quite big enough. That's not a problem since I can just widen it, but is a heads-up for the manufacturer to consider for a future design.

I'm pleased with this hot water bottle and have already recommended it to others.

I believe this U shaped hot water bottle is incredible. It is very comfortable to wear, and truly helps me with the relief of neck tension. I would like to address criticisms made by other reviewers:

1. The product looses heat too quickly.
Just put a towel over it, and it will retain the heat longer.

2. It melts if you pour boiling water in it or heat it up.
Under product description it clearly states, NOTICE: The water temperature not more than 85 degree centigrade. Also, it is fairly common knowledge that one does not heat up rubber or plastic products.

I hope you enjoy this hot water bottle as much as I do.

This hot water bottle positions perfectly for my neck pain, however, it is very heavy, awkward to fill without spilling and needs a cover because the plastic is hard on the skin. I use a thin towel or pillow case between the bag and my skin. Very well made as far as durability.

Not bad - doesn't retain heat for as long as I had expected but the shape is very handy.
