My family and I have used Cryocups for years to treat various aches and pains, ranging from elbow and shoulder tendonitis to IT band syndrome and plantar fasciitis. With multiple runners in the house, it seems that every year there are a couple of minor issues that need to be addressed. The Cryocup is a great option for working with sore joints or muscles.
It comes as a two-part unit. Put the two pieces together snugly, fill them with water, and place them upright in the freezer. When frozen, you just twist the two parts apart and use the exposed ice cube for an ice massage. More often than not I have to run them under warm water for 10 seconds to break the seal.
No problem with durability, as my cups get very heavy use and have lasted for a number of years. Eventually the inside tabs break off, but it typically takes dozens, if not hundreds of applications before this happens.
My first experience with a cryocup was at my chiropractors office. I loved the simplicity of it, and the fact that you can use it to massage and get ice relief at the same time. I have a lot of issues with my back, arms, and legs, and this is fantastic to use when I am sore. Both easy to use on your own, or for someone else to use. I find that the ice does melt fast against the skin, but the cup is big enough that you will definitely be able to get through your massage session quickly enough that it will last. I do suggest getting two so you always have one available (if you need to ice daily or multiple times a day).
This is a great icing device. Used it after physical therapy on my elbow and immediately ordered on for myself. Makes the ice easy to hold and provides a good size surface area to cover the targeted area. Much better than pealing paper away from the ice using a paper cup. My only criticism (the reason for four stars rather than five) is that it came with absolutely no instructions. How hard could it be to give you a little bit of direction on how to use the product.
I love this thing. Prior to finding this my pain management doctor told me to fill styrofoam cups and freeze then peel. This is so much better environmentally and effectively.
I got this after seeing my PT dr. and it's perfect! You don't freeze your fingers trying to hold ice. i love it.

This has been great for treating my injured finger but it took a couple times of re-freezing because to get the ice to adhere to the holder you have to twist the 2 parts - like opening a jar - the first time you separate them. I keep it in a rigid, plastic, screw-top gelato container in my freezer so it is held upright during the freezing process and for storage too.
I have two of these now. They will get your arm/leg/knee insanely cold. Much colder than an ice bag/pack. The only "downside" is that you'll drip water everywhere. Kind of comes with the territory. I just use it on a bath towel.
I like this massage cup it's just what they've used at therapy. Helps me get some pain relief at home.
I use it as directed and it so easy to use at home.
Great price and availability on Amazon.
This was exactly as I had in my PT sessions. I love how practical it is and how it pinpoints my exact inflammation issues due to running. It's very easy to use and the application makes me take care of my aches and pains quickly! Definitely recommending this product to my friends and family!
Good product, good price.
