Read the reviews, tried them... Love them. I truly prefer these to plastic generics. These fit my JennAir compactor like a glove. I have found them to leak, rarely and only under duress. One really shouldn't be pouring liquids in to a compactor... yeah, OK some things kinda liquify and I've had some leakage if that gets too bad. I just don't do that.
They go in my compactor easily, come out easily... And have less plastic so they're more 'green' than the full plastic alternatives if you care about that stuff. I do.
Saw some complaints that the bags tear up. I just don't see that if you remove them properly. I had one tear and I thought "OK, I'm a dork" because I saw why it tore. The top of the bag has split corners to allow it to fit down around the sides of the compactor... which it does nicely. Because they're split corners, if you aren't careful about how you remove the bag you could totally tear down those corners. If you think about it before just grabbing and yanking that sucker out of there, you might fold the edges back up...unrolling them so you have a high top portion you can pull together towards the center of the compactor space and pull vertically to remove the bag. It slides out smoothly and no tearing problem. I've had no issues since my realization I was making my own life hard.
These are good quality bags, they fit wonderfully... good price, give them a try.
Excellent product that was easily available at one time. I tried the all plastic compactor bags but they always bunch up after activating the compactor plunger. These paper/plastic bags, no problem. Continue using my compactor as always. I highly recommend to anyone still using a Trash Compactor.
Most of the complaints I see on here can be solved with an $18 roped plastic "caddy." It goes down first before you install the bag, then lifts cleanly out by the rope-handles with no hassles on trash day. Also, I keep a regular lined kitchen trash can next to the compactor for extra messy/wet disposals. Between the Gladiator and the 'messy' can, they last this family of five a week with no changes needed. Just take 'em both out to the curb on trash day & then re-line them. No 😓!
This compactor bag is just what we were looking for. The paper lining lends itself to the way we use our compactor - on extra pack in between times when we add more trash. This lining also helps contain any messiness from the trash. Glad to have found this! We have used products like this in the past but they were no longer available. We were ecstatic to find this!
I was shocked when the price of bags nearly doubled at my local source. Tried these because I saw good ratings and the price is unbelievable. These are a quality product. I have used for the past 4 years and won't buy anything else. the have a paper outside plus the plastic inside. there have been times when we have filled to what I think is beyond capacity (translation: kids did not take out trash) and held up like a champ. highly recommend!

Description
Bestair Trash Compactor Bags(16`` D. X 9`` W. X 17`` H; pack of 12); New
These trash compacter liner bags are the only ones I've been able to find that fit a 16" deep compactor; all the others I've found are advertised as fitting the 15" depth compactors. The liners that were delivered with the compactor were heavy polyvinyl bags, so I was hesitant to try these bats which are plastic-lined paper bags. I can report, however, that the first bag has been filled and removed without incident; no threat of breaking this time. So, I guess time will tell but the outlook is good.
Love these trash bags. I prefer these paper bags with plastic liners over plastic bags. They are more expensive, but less likely to tear, rip and leak. I did get one in the bag that was made wrong. The seams were not lined up. We didnt use that one bag, but the other 11 were fine. I used to get them at Sears, but Sears only carry them online now.
These are working great for my trash compactor! They fit perfectly and the plastic liner helps keeps liquids from coming out. And I really stuff my compactor!
If you have a trash compactor these are the way to go. Very sturdy and they don't smash down like the plastic bags do and make a mess!
I would NOT put any glass in them though as it can make a tear. My daughter uses the plastic bags and they don't hold up. I use to get
these at Walmart but many times they are out of them so was glad I could get these now on Amazon.
I think these work great. Not as thick as Kenmore bags that came with the house/compactor. The packaging is slightly different on this last order and comparing the bags the new ones are slightly smaller, but not enough to affect the fit in my GE compactall. The new ones also state the paper is recycled. Only have had one slightly leak in the first pack of 12 which I feel might be a bit my fault as it was a low garbage month and I used it for nearly 2 weeks. Will continue to order as long as price remains reasonable.
