A few things to know first:
They come with protective clear stickers on each lens that you are supposed to remove. So, if they seem hazy or not clear, try looking to see if yours has those stickers.
They are not for every nose type. I see a lot of reviews complaining about how they just popped right off, or slid down and only grab the nose on the soft part, restricting breathing. This happened to me as well, but they functioned perfectly on my husband's nose. It wasn't the product, it was the shape/size of the bridge of my nose that was the issue. This is not their fault (nor mine, it's just how it is).
Because they would not work for me, and my husband does not need reading glasses (lucky!), I did have to end up returning them. I still gave them a good rating, as they really did seem like they would have been exactly what I was looking for, and like they would hold up really well... if only they had worked with my particular nose. Again, not their fault, nor mine. Just the way it is.
Though, I did decide to remove a single star because it seems to me that there *should* be a way to make such a thing work for more nose types - but I actually don't know for certain, or at least make more than one type, so people can choose something that might work for them. Again, I really don't know, it just might be wishful thinking on my part.
I ordered these for reading in bed, since I figured they would not pinch my temples with side bars and therefore would be more comfortable while lying on my side. They do and work great for that purpose. I also like that they do not have any nose pads, those annoying little things that break off as I have seen on other models, so not having pads in the 1st place eliminates that problem. The slim carrying cases are pretty cool and make it safe to toss a pair in any bag, drawer or glove compartment. No issues with the lenses, the quality is as expected from plastic.
What I did not account for was my Asian nose, not much to pinch these on, so when I yawn or cough or sneeze, they fall off.... not a huge problem of course, I would still recommend them.
Remember: Pince Nez means Pinch the Nose. This is meant to be stable by pinching and it's not meant to be worn for any extended time. It is meant to help you read a menu, an item at the supermarket, something on the run, for a little while.
And for this, it is excellent! Stays firmly in place even when you are poring over a book or a menu.
They are also super cute.
Finally, they are super thin! Fit even in a narrow wallet, take up minimal space. Look at the picture. I’ve put a Starbucks card next to the wallet so that people can see its width. You can barely see the glasses. It's the lack of arms that makes this super thin, so you need to decide what tradeoff you want. I want it taking zero space in my wallet and this is my best bet. Even collapsing arms would double the width.
But the case is very firm but also very elegant, stainless on one side, faux tortoise on the other.
A great buy, but buy a half point higher than normal. Will make reading easier.
Finally, it gave me window of 9/20-10/5 and it was delivered 9/13.
These little reading glasses are impressive. They come with their own cases for easy storage which easily slips into either you pants or shirt pockets without any unsightly bulges showing. The readers are perfect for reading menus, short articles, or when out with friends and some one wants to show you something on their smart phone. The glasses are perfect for people who only use glasses for reading and do not want to carry bulky frame glasses everywhere. The material use to make the frame and glasses are first rate. The frame adds a little style to the tiny glasses. Great purchase.
The spectacles arrived quickly and so far they have worked perfectly. They sit securely on my nose while I look at my cell phone or while I am doing my job and having to read from various books and type written programs. I just had cataract surgery on both eyes and had toric lens implants which have given me my long distance sight back but has limited my near sight. (Everything from my outstretched hands back to my face is blurry. So I wear +1.50 readers to see my computer and these +3.00 Nose glasses to read my cell phone, see images in my digital camera after snapping photographs, and to hold books at a comfortable distance. I am having to learn to carry the glasses with me and wear my +1.50 readers but I guess you can teach and old...well middle age...dog new tricks!

I have been using theses for a few months now, mainly on the weekends to give my eyes a break from contacts. I love them. As information, I am female with a releatively small face and a narrow nose bridge. These stay on my nose and I really forget that I have them on so if I wrinke my nose, they will fall off. If they are scratched, I can't see it so I will say these Pince Nez are very durable. I was wearing them when I opened a very hot oven, steam hit my face, I wrinkled my nose in reaction and the Pince Nez fell into oven. They were in there a minute or two before I was able to retreive them and no harm done, so I would say they are quite durable and I ordered anther set of 2. I now own 4 so I can have them spread all over the house for convenience.
I used double sided adhesive & attach the case to the back of my smartphone case. They are great. I had another brand that kept breaking. These seem be lasting longer because they are metal and bend, but do not snap. The reason I gave a 4 instead of a 5 is because they sometimes fall out of the case into my purse; and if I am a little too rough (still not rough), a lens will pop out. I am thinking of using superglue to make sure I don't lose a lens. I will buy again when these wear out.
Good product. Good deal. Materials used made to last however of the 2 recieved one was very tight n the other normal.
Kept because not enough to return. Hence the 4 stars. Better quality control needed by vendor. I think these will last better than plastic made ones. Would recommend but check when u get to make sure bridge is not to tight. Use will not loosen up the metal bridge. Made that well. That is why I am keeping because of durability n worth my money.
Nice quality for the money, both well made and well designed. Not comfortable enough for long term wear, but great for short term use. One side of the protective case is metal, so it can be mounted to other things using adhesive or magnets.
My husband had Shingles on the side of his head and could not stand ANYTHING (including the arm of mere glasses) to even touch his hair, let alone his ear or head...so I got him these! They are perfect for what he needs them for! Truly met our needs and I was happy to be able to relieve some of his discomfort!
