This is a quality product. I've put it in my trauma kit and hope to never use it. Whats great is it comes with a little pack of lubricant which will really help if the times comes and you have to insert the airway. I don't suggest this for folks who are not trained in its use, but for those who are, its a good product at a good price, and well packaged too.
Lubricant is not packaged alongside tube, so be sure to have a way to keep them together. I've gotten a couple of these, and they all seem to come in packages that are sorta-kinda 1/2 way vacuum sealed. Guessing that's to not crush the tube under full vacuum.
Just barely fits without folding in a 8 x 6 x 3.5-Inch pouch, such as the one I use: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0034K4JFU/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
A sterile NPA with an expiration date in 2019 (Ordered around 2014). Surgilube was included in the ziplock the NPA was packaged in - though I reccomend just taping the packet to the packaging of the NPA rather than keeping the ziplock.
It's an NPA. It's sealed. It comes with lube. What is says on the tin is what you get. Happily haven't needed it yet but this is the same one the Army issues in the IFAK so I have no doubt it will serve should the need arise.
I picked this up to keep in the personal first aid kit. It's ability to be used in a wider range of patients (not just those whom are unresponsive with no gag reflex), as well as relative ease on insertion made it an obvious choice as part of my airway management items.

Feature Product
- Soft Non-Latex Mediprene material with soft elastic finish
- Sterile
- Adjustable flange for a better fit and increased patient comfort
Description
Recommended for use as an airway adjunct in the semi-conscious or unconscious patient with an intact gag reflex. Not easily dislodged during transport and better tolerated than an Oropharyngeal Airway. Vacuum-packaged and conveniently attached surgical lubricant for quick access and to facilitate ease of insertion.
As someone who has had one of these shoved up his nose several times (and not for FUN), I can say it does the job and maintains an airway like its supposed to. You can't ask for much more. Just remember, as with many things in life, MORE LUBE IS BETTER.
I needed this to complete my tactical kit. I work in the Terrorism response field and this was perfect. Hopefully I will never have to use it but if I do, it will work perfectly.
This item is needed in every kit. ABC. It includes an NPA and lube for insertion. Get proper training and practice before going live with this item.
Showed this to an ear nose throat surgeon and he said it was exactly what is used in the professional field. He said the price was good too! I've not used it, it's for my IFAK - Individual First Aid Kit.
Mine came with the lubricant and was within the expiration date. Hopefully never need to use.
